CONNOR POV I think it was pretty safe to say that Aurora’s wolf was helping her expand her powers. Which I was really happy about. But not when it almost takes my head off. Yeah, alright. I shouldn’t have snuck up behind her. But I was really interested in what they were doing and once I saw that ball of energy in her hands, I had to get a closer look. I should have been more careful not to startle her the way that I did. “I am so sorry.” Aurora said, looking at me with fear in her eyes. Oh shit. She thinks she’s in trouble. She thinks I’m mad at her. “It’s alright. Don’t apologize. I shouldn’t have snuck up on you. That was actually pretty cool.” I said, moving over to her but she looked a little skittish as I was getting closer. “I’m just trying out what I can do. Elsa is letting me know everything I can do. She says that this is only small stuff. I’m a little worried about what the big stuff is going to be.” She said. “I’m excited about seeing it.” “I probably won’t
AURORA POV I looked at Connor as he stood in the kitchen frozen with broken glass all around him on the floor. “Who the hell told you that?” He asked. “No one told me. No one had to. I thought it was Miles at first, but he doesn’t have a reason to not take care of her or the baby. You do have a reason. Me.” I said. “You figured it out on your own?” “That and everyone starts acting really weird around me whenever I ask about the baby. And they get even weirder when I say that it’s Miles’ baby.” I said. “Shit. Look, there’s no proof that it’s mine. She said that it was. I don’t know if that’s true. Listen, there were a lot of girls going through my house at that time. But that was before I met you.” He said. “I know. I just want to know why you lied to me? Why didn’t you just trust me and tell me the truth?” I asked. “I was scared. I didn’t want you to leave me. And I was scared that you would think I was going to let that baby take over as heir to this pack.” He said.
I ended up falling asleep in that tree but I woke up the next morning in the spare bedroom and Connor was asleep next to me. I went to the kitchen and Miles was there with a coffee, leaning against the bench looking out the window at the warriors training. “Morning.” He said. “Hi. How did I end up inside?” I asked. “Connor brought you in after you fell asleep.” He said. “I was up a damn tree. How the hell did he not wake me up?” I asked, pouring myself a coffee. “You’ll have to ask him that.” Miles smirked. “What have you got planned today?” I asked. “I don’t know. There’s training, more training and more training.” He said. “That sounds like the obvious choice then.” I said. “Yeah. Kind of does, doesn’t it.” He said. “What about you?” He asked. “I have to try and find a hidden castle.” I said. “That doesn’t make any sense.” He said. “I know. But it will when I find it.” I said. “Good luck with that then.” He said. “Thanks.” I said. I didn’t wait for Conn
A little while later someone knocked on the door and I knew that I was the only one home so I got up and I went to answer the door. Stacy was standing there holding her newborn baby, looking really exhausted and I invited her in. “Is everything alright?” I asked. “I don’t know. I haven’t slept in three days.” She said, putting the baby bag on the table. “Alright. Give him here to me. There is a spare bedroom downstairs. It was a basement but Miles turned it into a bedroom. Apparently he gets a lot of guests sometimes.” I said. “Yeah. That’s when his family comes to visit.” “I thought he didn’t get along with his family.” I said. “Not with his dad. But his siblings and their families come to visit. And there’s a lot of them.” She said. “Well, that makes sense. You go downstairs and get some sleep. I will stay with the baby and get as much sleep as possible. Don’t worry about little Jacob here. I’ve got it under control. ” I said. “Thank you so much.” She said. She p
We ran through the woods faster than I thought possible. It was really good to let Elsa out like this. I just wish it was for another reason. But I was determined to get there, hoping that we were going to get there before the pack was attacked. But nothing is ever that simple. We made it to the pack in record time but it was completely silent. There was no one there. No one was around. Not a sound except for some crackling of the buildings that were on fire. We couldn’t find anyone in the pack except a few dead people that obviously put up a fight and lost. We started checking every house. Every building. Even the packhouse. But there was no one to be found. At least, not alive. “We’re too late.” I said. “You must have gotten the vision while it was happening.” Connor said. “What’s the point of getting these visions if I can’t do anything to stop it?” I asked, starting to feel my emotions bubbling to the surface. “Calm down Aurora. You can lose it. Not yet.” Elsa warned
I heard Connor get back to the house and I quickly put a thick bandage over the injury and I pulled my shirt down again. I didn't want him to see it because he would have too many questions and I didn't have the answers to any of them. This was just something else that was in the question mark zone. Which was getting bigger by the day. I went back to the living room and Connor was standing there with Evelyn and Hadley. I knew that something was going on, but none of them were speaking. I looked at them all curiously before I started hearing something that sounded very odd to me. A voice that wasn't Elsa's inside my head. I'm really sorry for everything I did. Please don't kill me? "What are you so sorry for Hadley? Why do you think Connor is going to kill you?" I asked. And they all looked at me strangely. "How did you know what I was thinking?" "I heard it." I said. "What? That's impossible. I wasn't even mind linking." Hadley said. "What the hell is going on?" I aske
Connor called a meeting with the warriors and they all gathered in the training field. He explained what happened to the two warriors and everyone were starting to throw their own opinions towards us as to what could possibly have happened to them. "That secret government agency that Aurora's father is working with. They have obviously started developing new weapons to take us out." Connor said. "Aurora was shot as well. Why didn't it affect her?" Some woman asked. "I know. Maybe because of who she is. Her bloodline." Connor said. "I think we need to find out more about our Luna and find out why she wasn't affected. Maybe we might be able to use that some how." Another one said. "We aren't using Aurora as a guiney pig. She's not here to be experimented on. Now listen, we probably aren't going to be staying here for much longer. Aurora knows of a castle that the royal family still owns which means it rightfully belongs to her. We believe that it will be out best chance at pro
Connor put his arms around my waist and pulled me closer and he started kissing me again. I turned to face him fully this time and I got up on my knees and put my arms around his neck. I started playing with the hem of his shirt and he finally grabbed his shirt and pulled it straight off over his head. I looked down at his perfectly chiseled body and I ran my fingers over his abs, while he was watching me. He pulled the strap of my shirt off of my shoulder and he started kissing down my neck again and he pulled my shirt off of me in one quick move. Discarding it on the floor, moving towards my bra next and unclipping it. Throwing it off to the side as well. And then he moved his arms back to my waist and he slowly guided me down onto the bed. He laid on top of me, with his arms resting on either side of me, making sure not to put all of his weight on me while he started kissing me again. His hand started moving down between us and I could feel him tugging at my pants, so I lif
