I could hear my own pulse banging so wildly inside my entire body, from the tips of my fingers and all the way to the very center of my chest as I widely stared, unblinking at the raven-haired male sitting so casually on the very table I had almost lost my soul only a few days ago, that vivid memory still clinging so tightly against my mind, vehemently refusing to give me peace whatsoever.

That face...Those frightening and hollow eyes...
