Hera was sitting in Sean's luxurious car. Yes, she was there because of Sean. Whatever he had said to David earlier remained a mystery.

“You haven’t had breakfast,” Sean suddenly remarked.

“How do you know that?” Hera asked in return.

“I overheard your conversation earlier,” Sean replied briefly.

Hera paused for a moment. Ah, the conversation she had with David, of course. But didn’t she speak softly when talking to David?

Lost in her thoughts, Hera was surprised to realize they had arrived at a restaurant. Sean had taken her to an upscale establishment.

“We should have breakfast first before continuing,” Sean said as he stepped out of the car.

Hera furrowed her brow. Continuing what, exactly?

Still puzzled, Hera quickly followed Sean into the restaurant, knowing he would be upset if she lingered.

She had already expected the restaurant to be fancy. This man always seemed to surround himself with luxury.

“Everything has been arranged. You don’t mind if this breakfast isn’t your favori

Hera was still sitting, lost in thought. Her focus remained on Sean, who was laughing happily with a woman who was undeniably beautiful. She had no idea who this woman was, but the two of them glanced in her direction a few times."Are they talking about me? Right in front of me?" Hera muttered to herself.Moments later, the woman who had been chatting with Sean walked over to Hera and sat next to her. The difference between them was stark—Hera couldn’t help but notice it. The woman smiled brightly at her."Hi, welcome. Sorry for keeping you waiting. Sean was giving me a lecture about that dress," the woman said, leaving Hera confused. The brunette extended her hand. "Oh, by the way, my name is Ellia. I'm going to be designing the dress for you. Sean already gave me all the criteria, and he said it’s based on your preferences?"Hera remained silent, taking in Ellia’s words. What kind of charade had Sean concocted this time?"Ah, I apologize for being so forward, Hera. But I’m thrilled

"Thank you, don't forget the invitation, beautiful," Ellia said as Hera stood up from her seat."I'll handle it, don’t worry," Sean replied immediately.Sean then grabbed Hera's hand and held it tightly."Aww, well, now I'm even more jealous. I hope I find a lover at your wedding," Ellia said, watching them being so affectionate.Sean smiled proudly at this, and soon, he and Hera walked out of the boutique together.Unlike Sean, who was clearly proud of the praise Ellia had showered them with, Hera just smiled awkwardly or kept her head down shyly. Ah, Sean might appear sweet in front of Ellia, but just wait."Well, that performance was quite exhausting," Sean said after getting into the car. He took a deep breath and unbuttoned the top of his shirt.Hera only stared out of the window since the beginning. You could see for yourself how quickly this man's attitude changed when they were alone.Suddenly, Hera widened her eyes as Sean reached out and touched her hand again. She turned to

After they both arrived at their destination, Hera quickly exited the car and made her way toward the hospital, not even stopping at the reception desk."Mom, I’m here," Hera murmured softly as she stood in front of her mother Margaret’s hospital room."Hera, my daughter."Hera immediately embraced her mother. She was clearly delighted by Margaret’s enthusiastic response to her presence."I’m sorry, because—""Mom, there’s no need to apologize. It’s better if you get more rest. There are plenty of TV shows we need to catch up on once you’re home," Hera said, chuckling."Of course," Margaret replied to her daughter.Suddenly, Thomas appeared between them."Ah, Mom, do you remember this friend of mine?" Hera asked Margaret.Margaret looked at Thomas, who smiled warmly back at her."Thomas," Margaret said softly."Yes, Mom, it’s good to see you again," Thomas responded, smiling.Thomas’ gaze shifted toward Hera, who was beaming as she looked at her mother."Hera, do you—""Sorry, I just

"What are you doing?"The question made Hera instantly put the red velvet lingerie back in the closet, not even bothering to tidy it."Uh, nothing. I was just trying to organize your clothes, so I put it back in the closet," Hera replied awkwardly, closing the closet door while glancing at Sean, who was taking off his watch. Of course, he was also staring at her."You don't even know if it's clean or dirty," Sean remarked."I think it's clean because it still smells nice," Hera quickly responded, although she agreed with Sean’s point."What if it's my body scent?" Sean asked, giving her a devilish smile.Hera chose not to reply. Honestly, this man was always good at deflecting or responding to topics in unpredictable ways."I want to take a warm bath," Sean announced while beginning to unbutton his shirt, not caring if Hera saw him undressed.Hera immediately looked away. She didn’t want to witness the “beautiful” view—well, too beautiful, actually."You’ve already seen all of me, no

Hera slowly opened her eyes, frowning as a sudden memory hit her.“Wasn't I in the bathroom earlier?” Hera muttered to herself. She quickly felt around her body and let out a sigh of relief. Ah, she was now dressed in a white pajama set, though she wasn’t wearing anything underneath.“But, wait. I didn’t have time to get dressed,” Hera murmured again.“Of course, I helped you with that. But as you said, you didn’t bring any clothes, so I couldn’t give you any underwear,” Sean’s voice suddenly replied.Hera paused for a moment. Well, it didn’t matter. After all, Sean had been considerate so far.“You didn’t… do anything to me while I was asleep, did you?” Hera asked, her voice slowing slightly.“I don’t like doing things while you’re asleep. There’s no moaning or scratching from you,” Sean answered casually.Alright, that meant he didn’t do anything at all.Hera sat up and looked at Sean, planning to ask him about something else, especially since he was now fully dressed. A black colla

Hera looked happily toward the cashier's counter. Since picking up her mother that morning, she had decided to return to work, starting that afternoon, of course.Sean had also driven her and even picked up her mother before heading back to his office. There's no need to ask how busy he was today."I'm really glad your mother is back home," Jessy said to her."Thank you, Jess. After all, it's also thanks to your help," Hera replied."You always reject my help, Hera. I didn't do much for you," Jessy said after that.Jessy glanced at her watch, "It's already lunchtime, and we're 10 minutes late today."Hera paused. Oh no, she had a lunch appointment with Thomas today."Good thing you reminded me about lunch. I'll step out for a bit and be back after lunch," Hera said, taking off her apron."Your mother’s home now; you should spend more time with her," Jessy said."It's fine. I’ll come in late tomorrow, so I’m spending extra work hours today," Hera replied."Alright then. If you need any

Sean let out a deep sigh, feeling more exhausted than usual due to the way work had unfolded today. Things hadn’t gone as smoothly as he’d hoped.“It’s not really a big problem, I just tend to be too much of a perfectionist,” Sean muttered to himself. His eyes flickered to his phone as it buzzed on his desk. A text had just come through. “Hey, darling. Can we meet tonight? I miss you.”Sean frowned at the message, puzzled. He couldn’t even recall who had sent it.“Who the hell is this?” he murmured, placing the phone down without replying. Almost immediately, the phone buzzed again, this time with a call from the same number. Annoyed but curious, he picked it up."Sean, why are you silent? It's me, Vivi. You don't have my number saved?"The familiar flirtatious tone instantly annoyed him, but he stayed silent, listening to the voice."Sean? Come on, say something. I even took time off just to fly to New York and visit you.""I didn’t ask you to come here," he finally said, irritatio

"I’ve already ordered everything for us. If anything is missing, just let me know."Sean's words made Hera and Margaret exchange glances. Margaret, especially, always felt uncomfortable with the way Sean pampered them."There's no need, dear. This is more than enough. Besides, you’ve been taking such good care of Hera. I can see that she’s even put on a bit of weight," Margaret joked, which made Sean hold back a smile."It's my duty to look after Hera and you as well, Mother. So, I hope you both enjoy the dinner. Please, help yourselves," Sean said warmly, smiling at Margaret."Mother, you can enjoy your meal first. I need to talk to Sean for a moment. Sean, can we step outside for a bit?" Hera stood up as she spoke.Sean didn’t reply immediately but stood up and followed Hera into the kitchen of the penthouse."What’s going on?" Sean asked as soon as they were alone.Hera turned to face him, taking a deep breath before speaking. "Let’s get straight to the point. Why did you order so

Hera was looking around. As promised, they were waiting for Moly, Sean’s mother, who had said she would arrive shortly.“If she doesn’t show up in the next five minutes, we can leave and choose another restaurant for dinner,” Sean said impatiently.“Alright, but it hasn’t been five minutes yet, and we’ll still have dinner, won’t we?”That remark made both of them turn towards the voice. There stood Moly, accompanied by... Viola.Hera froze when she saw the beautiful woman, who had unexpectedly come with Moly that evening. Hera hadn't been informed of Viola’s presence.“Why are you here?” Sean asked, clearly displeased by Viola’s presence.“You should greet me kindly first. We could talk slowly about... our wedding,” Viola responded, glancing at Hera, who stood silently, looking both confused and upset.“Mom, I didn’t even ask you to invite her tonight,” Sean said to Moly.“Shh, enough. Let’s just get ready for dinner. I’m hungry, and you, sit down,” Moly said calmly. After the command

“No, stay there. I’ll get it for you.”Hera had been hearing these words from Sean all day. She still couldn’t quite believe how attentive Sean had become since learning about her pregnancy. To Hera, though, it seemed a bit excessive.“Sean, it’s just a few steps to get my phone. You’re overdoing it,” Hera said.Soon enough, Sean handed her the phone. “I told you, you didn’t have to do that.”Hera smiled and accepted the phone. “Thank you, but really, you’re going a bit overboard.”“It’s my duty,” Sean replied, sitting down beside her.The two began chatting, talking about different things.“How do you feel now that you know you’re pregnant?” Sean asked.“Just dizziness and nausea. That’s all I’ve been feeling so far,” Hera replied. But oddly enough, ever since she told Sean about her pregnancy and received his special attention, especially the gentle touches on her stomach, the dizziness and nausea she had been feeling for the past few days had disappeared. It felt like magic.“I’ve

Sean opened his eyes. He took a deep breath after realizing that he had been asleep.“Oh my, but it felt like I heard Hera saying that I already had it? Did she mean… a child?” Sean muttered to himself. However, when he looked beside him, he saw Hera fast asleep. Sean smiled softly as he came to his senses again. "Sean, it must have been just a dream. Look at you and Hera, you’ve both been sleeping soundly."Checking his phone, Sean saw that it was 3 a.m. As usual, he had woken up at this time. He decided to watch TV again. On the screen was a movie showing a couple kissing passionately. Sean, watching it, tried to hold himself back.“I’d better find another channel while I wait for my sleepiness to return,” Sean mumbled as he started flipping through the channels.Suddenly, his stomach signaled hunger. He sighed deeply and got up from his position.“It’s always like this,” Sean muttered, intending to cook something simple since he wasn’t much of a cook. The kitchen was well-stocked f

After her long conversation with Jessy ended, Hera decided to leave the bathroom. She still hadn’t seen Sean inside."Is he really angry about what happened?" Hera muttered to herself. For some reason, she felt uneasy about Sean. Maybe it was time to find him and apologize.Hera put on an outer garment that was available in the room before leaving. But before she could open the door, it suddenly opened on its own, and there was Sean, about to walk in.He looked at her, but then Hera smiled, "I was just about to look for you.""Go to sleep. It’s late, or are you hungry?" Sean asked. He walked in, followed by Hera. "No. I… I just wanted to apologize for what happened earlier. I think you're right; this is our honeymoon, and I didn’t need to bring up the contract.""It’s fine. I was just overreacting. I’m sorry," Sean replied more calmly this time. Somehow, he seemed very relaxed and at peace.Hera nodded. The situation felt awkward now. "Where did you go earlier?""Nowhere, just took in

Here was Hera, once again lying in her original position. She was even eating her dinner in the bedroom. However, that didn't make Sean angry or upset. Look, the man had been accompanying Hera all this time."Don’t you want to go out tonight?" Hera asked, turning toward Sean, who was watching TV. The man glanced at her for a moment before returning his gaze to the television."Go where?" Sean asked."For a walk, of course. You’ve come all this way, yet you’re just staying in the room," Hera replied."I'm already bored with everything around here, so what's the point of going for a walk?" Sean muttered instantly."Don’t you like the beach? Then, why did you bring me here if you’re already bored of this place?" Hera asked, puzzled.Sean placed the remote control beside him before looking at Hera. "You like the beach. I found out from your mother. I do like the beach, and I figured it would be nice to take you to the Maldives for our first honeymoon destination."Hera was silent for a mo

"Do you want to enjoy the beauty of this beach?" Sean asked suddenly after seeing Hera, who had just finished her activity in the bathroom.Actually, Hera felt dizzy at that moment, but it didn’t bother her too much. "Of course. It would be such a waste if we just stayed in the room after traveling so far to get here.""It’s not a waste. You can come here whenever you want," Sean replied, standing up. He stared at Hera, making her feel trapped under his gaze, unable to move on to her next activity."You could’ve waited for me outside. I just need to freshen up a bit," she started to say."You don’t need to put anything on. It’s just the two of us here. All my assistants are in one place, probably resting, so we won’t be disturbed," Sean interrupted.Hera was shocked. "What? Not put anything on? What do you mean?""Uh, you must be thinking something negative. Hey, I meant you don’t need to wear any makeup or anything like that," Sean clarified.Hera paused for a moment. "Actually, I di

This time, the journey was quite long. Hera had already anticipated that Sean would be busy with his work. But she was actually happy about it. It gave her a chance to relax and focus on her own thoughts.Look at that, Sean was still busy taking work calls. Even the plane they were supposed to board had been waiting for them for a while now, or so the assistant had informed Hera earlier."Are we going to miss the flight?" Hera mumbled to herself, just as Sean finished his call."Sorry to keep you waiting. Let’s go," Sean said as he grabbed Hera’s hand, which surprised her."Please, Mr. and Mrs. Everything is ready," said one of the house staff as they opened the car door for them."Thank you," Hera replied as she stepped inside, and then the door was closed.Sean looked at her as the car began to move, "You don’t need to thank them. It’s part of their job.""You’ve never thought about how nice it feels to be thanked after working all day. A simple thank you makes me feel appreciated f

Hera opened her eyes abruptly. She wasn’t sure what had caused her to wake up so suddenly. Her gaze was scanning her surroundings."My room. I just remembered that I'm staying at Mom’s house tonight," Hera muttered to herself. She paused for a moment when she heard a noise outside her room, recalling that her room was quite close to the kitchen."What’s that? I don’t think there are any rats in this house," Hera mumbled as she got up. She quickly walked out of her room. There, she saw a figure crouched over, looking at something in front of him. Hera let out a long sigh as she realized what was going on."Sorry, I forgot you were here too," Hera said, rubbing her face briefly before stepping out from her doorway.Hearing this, Sean turned to her and smiled before resuming his search. "Why are you awake?""I don't know, something woke me up suddenly. Plus, it's 2 AM," Hera replied as she approached Sean. The man was still in his position."What are you looking for?" Hera asked."Some i

After hearing the entire story from Thomas, Hera felt that the man still loved Viola. Yes, the beautiful woman he had always admired while they were still in that special relationship."But why doesn't he want to talk everything over with Viola first?" Hera muttered to herself, letting out a long sigh.At that moment, she was at her beloved home with Margaret. After her meeting with Thomas, Hera decided to visit Margaret, who was happily engaged in her gardening activities. At first, Hera wanted to help her mother, but the woman refused, saying she didn't want Hera to tire herself out."How are you, dear? I'm sorry for being so engrossed in gardening," Margaret said suddenly, sitting beside Hera."I'm very well, how about you, Mom?" Hera asked in return."I'm very good. In fact, I'm so happy because Sean brought a lot of flower seeds along with their plants. All of it is quite expensive, and he was willing to search for what I wanted," Margaret replied, looking pleased.Hearing this m
