Hera looked happily toward the cashier's counter. Since picking up her mother that morning, she had decided to return to work, starting that afternoon, of course.

Sean had also driven her and even picked up her mother before heading back to his office. There's no need to ask how busy he was today.

"I'm really glad your mother is back home," Jessy said to her.

"Thank you, Jess. After all, it's also thanks to your help," Hera replied.

"You always reject my help, Hera. I didn't do much for you," Jessy said after that.

Jessy glanced at her watch, "It's already lunchtime, and we're 10 minutes late today."

Hera paused. Oh no, she had a lunch appointment with Thomas today.

"Good thing you reminded me about lunch. I'll step out for a bit and be back after lunch," Hera said, taking off her apron.

"Your mother’s home now; you should spend more time with her," Jessy said.

"It's fine. I’ll come in late tomorrow, so I’m spending extra work hours today," Hera replied.
