“Then change it. You’re the angel who befriended a demon and a vampire. You’re the angel who mated a hunter who was a werewolf pack member. The only faction you mentioned you haven’t connected yourself to are witches.” Dad encouraged me.

“Well, that’s not entirely accurate. I’ve not formally met her, but through Hana and Bloodmoon, I have a tentative connection to Luna Katrina D’Amore, a coven leader in Sicily.” I shrugged, sipping my coffee.

There was a pause—a poignant one. I don’t need to see my father’s face to read him. His breathing is something of a giveaway. Mentioning Katrina triggered him. But why? How?

“What happened? Why are you suddenly silent after I mentioned Luna Katrina and her coven? What’s the real reason you called me?” I questioned.

“It’s nothing you need to worry about. You’ve made your stance on being involved in handling your people when they cross lines; either punishing or protecting isn’t something you care about.” Dad said.

I might be mistaken, but I do not think Jerahmeel was asking for Bert not to be punished; instead, he hoped that Bert would not end up dead. However, I do not believe any parent would want their child to be killed.

That prophecy sounded like an angel, likely Hana and Isak child, and the Alexander heir will be mates and reign over something. I like it!

I think the keep what you kill is sort of universal. plus Hana is the one that did the killing so...
