I was a night owl, even as a human. I’ve never truly missed going out during the day until Hana. I hate that I miss so much time with her. Even though she scheduled her time to be with me, I know it won’t always be that simple. She will have a job, not an internship, and not classes, where having one day a week where she flips to nocturne won’t be easy or possible.

It’s not just the time we make for each other that I lament about my vampirism. I also rarely attend big events that are scheduled during the day. Today, however, is an event I refuse to miss. Hana is graduating today with her bachelor’s degree. She has three more years to get her Juris Doctorate, but today is still very important.
