Luna strode to the bar close to Scarlett with her two friends, giggling. They ordered cocktails and club soda. As they sat down, one of the girl’s gaze drifted toward Scarlett, and she scoffed.

“I didn't know they now allowed just anyone into elite parties.”

“Who is that?” Another asked with raised brows.

“Didn’t you see the low-budget tramp that walked in with Ethan?” She gestured toward Scarlett, knowing Scarlett could hear them. And the others erupted into laughter.

“Did she think being dressed up like a plastic doll or wearing an expensive necklace changes anything? She still stinks of poverty. How pathetic.”
