We Break, We Fall
We Heal, We RiseThis phrase is often trivialized by the people but ones who go through these stages can only enter into the depth of it's connotative power. I along with 93 more people, are among those. Saying that I and they were lucky to be of those felt a little wrong but was the same case with saying that we were unlucky. Both going simultaneously side by side would be better.
The world had reached the stage when one could effortlessly prognosticate when we all would die and leave this hell on earth. Few would say it was worse than a hell.
The plague had enveloped the whole world and only few with serendipity or maybe with bad luck had survived, living in different corners of the world. Only 93 and including me, 94 were alive on the face of this once alluring place, Charleston, South Carolina. We were the hapless people, leaving no room for any doubt. This historical city was now embedded with the greatest history of all histories. If the situation had been different, we would have felt jubilant for the great honour but the case was something else.
The noises of the busy city were emplaced by the screaming silence. Where there used to be the sounds of car horns, children laughing in the parks at the day time, were now emplaced by the crying and whimpering sounds of the helpless.
At night time, not even these voices could be produced as 'they' crawled at nights. 'They' were the ones who cried out of hunger. They roamed every street, peeked at every corner in search of their food; We. Yes.
They were the blood drinking, flesh eating creatures who fed on the sprawled, poor, dead beings. They laid behind the shadows during the day or often slept while had parties at night. Freedom was the greatest party one could enjoy and this one word was always in the corner of every individual's mind here. Although it seemed to be far from coming true and was something which could only be imagined.
We held our dear lives on just one word which although felt very weak but still was enough to keep us alive; Hope. We hoped to be able to survive through this plague. We hoped that we would be able to fight these infected creatures. We hoped that one day we would be free.Adding to these hopes, what had made us warriors of the history, was another hope, wish, desire and a strong urge; to finish this plague, these creatures and also the very source of this all. However, the only staunch supporter for this hope was me.The source was the 2nd thing which we all feared and despised. They were known as The Beasts. Simple yet a powerful name that completely portrays the type of people they were. Yes! People. Like us. Simple human beings but ones with minds like demons.
We all know they were the psychos who started up with this plague which eventually wiped out the whole world. Leaving helplessness the only thing. But they underestimated us.
Although we had lost our loved ones, our lifelines and everything but in return we gained something. Something very strong. We learnt how to remain steadfast through all the upside downs. We became warriors and learnt how to rely on ourselves. We learnt so much that putting them into words won't be able to delineate the lessons we learnt.
We were the warriors who were ready to face our death without any fear now. I was ready and waiting for the chance to finish this all, for once and for all, no matter how many desires I would have to seal; money, selfishness, comfort and even love. These were soon going to bring the light back, wiping out the darkness that had crept into our lives. I was ready with my Sealed Desires.***

“Amelia!"I heard a shrieking cry which caused the keys from my hand to slip onto the muddy ground. I hastily picked up the keys and on turning back my eyes met with a pair of bright blue eyes. The light brown colored hair were reflecting off the bright light of the sun that was entering through the small holes in the wall."What is it Erin?" I asked with several thoughts buzzing in my mind. Since past years, we have been through a lot and still the possibility of something dreadful to happen was near 99%."George! He...He......" her panicked expression and the name of one of the hunters was enough to make me understand what she actually meant.I quickly sprinted towards an open auditorium of the once lively mall. All the life within it was squeezed out since the very moment these infected ones started to spread and feed on the poor, helpless beings. The area was devastated. Lights were no

My name felt too bad coming off from his tongue."Seems like The Beasts aren't yet satisfied with the never ending mess they have created, hmm?" I asked with anger fuming inside me.I was still standing where I was, under the tree, with the fallen fruits on the ground and my knife many feet away from me.My thoughts were a swirling tempest of regret, fear and rage. Regret of standing there helpless, fear of getting eaten by one of the Creatures who might be on their way with their army ready to feed on us and rage for the members of The Beasts who were looking

My body was although laying but I still felt uncomfortable and whatever was covering me at the top like a blanket was definitely not a blanket as it was too short, covering my arms only.As soon as I gained a little more consciousness, I was able to smell a soft minty cologne that I assumed was coming from the thing that was covering me. Then I felt a soft brush against my skin, tucking something behind my

Time for some action now!Love,Krystal GoodNovel***The wooden grandfather clock on the far wall creaked loudly with each sweep of its pendulum as it prepared to chime three times. I wiped my sweaty hands on my red capri pants and opened the first button of my white button down shirt that was neatly tucked in my pants. The white sneakers that were stripped red complimented my attire way too well. The silence in the room was as sharp as a knife but all that prevented it from killing me was the ticking of the clock. My frustration level was increasing by every tick. Then I heard the creak of the bedroom door that made me stand up on my feet, away from my marshmallow bed.A head with straight and silky hair that were fallen on the forehead carelessl
