62. "Come With Me"

"Why did you come so late? You promised me more Kalu!" I complained.

Alpha Lucas slipped through the window with dried Kalu on his hands. He looked at me, quite speechless, as I made an outburst over a simple dried fruit.

“Give me that!” I snatched the bag from his grasp, hastily wiping away my tears.

I was so hungry that I ate it as if I were a squirrel hoarding food. But when I realized how peculiar my behavior was, I felt ashamed.

“Did you starve yourself?” he asked.

Which I quickly answered, “N-No. It just that... I don't have any appetite to eat other foods. Just this.”

“Why you don't have appetite?”

“Not sure.”

"Damn. You're losing weight," he muttered disapprovingly, clicking his tongue. Drawing closer to her, he suggested, "The weather is good tonight. Do you want to have some fun with me?”

Once again, Lucas's words seemed nonsensical, but I saw no point in reprimanding him. If he had truly cared, he wouldn't have entered my room in the first place.
