After Lucas kissed me, I remained silent, fanning myself with my hands to cool down my flushed cheeks.

I was grateful for Callix and Marjorie’s argument, which distracted me a bit and allowed me to compose myself.

Right now, I could tell that Alpha Lucas is really my mate. But the mention of it still caught me off guard.

I glanced at Lucas, who was unusually quiet, and briefly wondered if anyone noticed that the Alpha kissed me.

Marjorie came back to our side, dusting off the grass from her clothes. I leaned over to remove some grass from Marjorie’s hair.

“Are you alright?” I asked.

“Of course,” Marjorie replied, playfully winking. “A couple’s argument is like trying to cut water with a knife.”

Meanwhile, Callix was drinking alcohol while Jenine teased him. Marjorie, who was equally drunk, sat beside me with a mischievous smile on her face.

“It was delicious.”
