Harriet’s POV
“Tonight, I will sleep with any he-wolf who can catch my attention.’
** **
As I stepped into the rowdy bar, I took a quick scan of the scene. Packs of werewolves, some with their mates and some without, were enjoying themselves. Amidst the chaos, my attention was drawn to a man sitting in the corner.
He held a glass of bourbon in his hand, and I couldn't help but be captivated by his striking features. His tousled waves of dark brown hair perfectly framed his strong jawline and thick eyebrows. The dim lighting in the bar accentuated his tanned skin, adding an air of mystery and allure to his presence.
After a while, our eyes met and locked. My heart raced with anticipation as I nervously made my way towards him. When I finally reached his table, I cleared my throat and asked, "So, which Pack do you belong to? And what's your role within the Pack? Do you happen to have a mate?"
The guy set down his glass of bourbon on the table and gave me a thorough once-over, like he was examining every little thing about me.
"I'm a rogue. A lone wolf without a Pack," he stated, propping his chin up with his hand. "As for the third question, I'd rather not respond."
A wolf with no Pack, and don’t want to tell me if he has a mate or not. Perhaps, he’s the best choice.
“Sleep with me tonight. I will pay you after,” I offered.
The mischievous grin on his face turned into serious. He narrowed his eyes on me as he replied, "Miss, do you realize that you're asking a complete stranger, a rogue in fact, to sleep with you?"
My cheeks turned red, but I tried my best to hide my nervousness. "I know," I muttered.
His eyes, a deep shade of crimson, studied me. Maybe he thought I was some kind of strange woman who was offering him money to sleep with me.
I felt so embarrassed, but I couldn't back down now. "Tell me the price," I negotiated.
He warned me, "You'll regret this, Miss. Don't you have a mate? He might not be happy to find out you're asking just anyone to sleep with you." His red eyes sharpened as he asked the question.
I clenched my fists upon hearing that. I replied, "Having a mate or not doesn't matter. It's useless to me. Well, if you're not interested, just say so. I don't want to waste my time," I snapped, rolling my eyes.
The man stayed silent for what felt like forever, and my patience started to wear thin. I had more important things to do than wait around for someone who couldn't make up their mind.
Assuming I had been rejected, I sighed and said, “Fine. I will just find someone else.” I turned around, ready to leave. However, just as she was about to take another step, the man firmly grasped my wrist and pulled me away from the bar.
Without words, he guided me toward a nearby hotel. “You’re taking me to a hotel?” I asked, trembling.
"Why? Would you rather do it right here in the bar?" he sneered, taking out his wallet. "Strip down and make a scene for everyone to enjoy?"
My face flushed with embarrassment at his vulgar words.
"If you'd prefer my car, I'm up for it. Tight spaces can be quite exhilarating," he suggested.
In a car? No way!
“No!” I declined. “Just b-book a room. Do it fast!” I demanded.
Suddenly, he laughed with a deep rough voice. I blinked, feeling drawn to his husky tone.
"What's so amusing?" I inquired.
He responded, "The last word you uttered, sweetheart. It amused me."
"Booking?” I repeated, elongating my words.
He shook his head, a mischievous smile forming at the corners of his mouth. "Nope. It was the word ‘Fast’ that made me chuckle."
I was perplexed. "What's wrong with that word?" I asked.
The man leaned in, his lips grazing my ear as he whispered, "It seemed like you want me to do you rough and fast.”
My cheeks burned; I felt a tinge of embarrassment for his naivety. The man confidently took control of the situation, when I was the one who started it. He reserved a room for us, and we rode the elevator together, with our hands still tightly clasped.
"Could you please let go of my hand?" I demanded.
The man glanced down at our intertwined hands before locking eyes with me. "And why should I do that?" he asked, tilting his head as if finding it amusing.
“What do you mean, why? I am uncomfortable,” I said.
“Wow. I find it hard to believe that someone who asked me f*ck her would say such things," he boasted arrogantly.
I twisted in disgust as his words reached her ears. "Must you speak like that?" I questioned, clearly irritated.
He arched an eyebrow and squinted his eyes. "Would you prefer I use 's*x' instead of 'f*ck'?"
Before I could reply, the elevator doors abruptly opened with a loud noise. We proceeded down the corridor and eventually reached a room at the end.
This man courteously held the door open for me, allowing me to enter first.
While walking in, I muttered quietly to myself, "Well, there's no turning back now."
But it seemed like the rogue could somehow hear my thoughts, as he immediately chimed in, "If you've had a change of heart, you better speak up now because once we're in, there's no way out."
Startled, I turned towards him and noticed that he had locked the door behind us.
With a wicked grin, he whispered, "You're in this for the long haul now, Miss."
Slowly, he began to remove his suit and shirt, revealing a perfectly tanned and toned body, complemented by his dark brown hair and intense, piercing eyes. However, it was his red eyes that captured my attention, shining brightly like those of a wild animal.
My heart pounded in my chest as I gazed at him, completely taken aback. My throat felt parched.
“Suddenly taking off your shirt is…” I was about to complain, but couldn’t continue because he effortlessly scooped me up, causing me to gasp, “Ahh!”
The rogue cradled me in his arms, making me feel like a child carried by someone.
“What are you doing!” I protested. “Let me… Ack!”
He threw me on the bed, well, not roughly. But I was still bewildered. Catching my breath. I looked at him, who was grinning at me while looking at my still clothed body.
“Why do you look scared now?” He asked, leaning closer. “It was you who seemed to be in a haste. Perhaps, are you regretting it now?”
I gulped.
I don’t want to lose my virginity with someone I don’t even know. But if this is the only way for me to take revenge to my family who sold me to Alpha Alex, then I won’t have any regrets.
“I won’t back down. Let’s do it,” I said firmly.
“Really? Absolutely certain?” he asked, positioning himself on the top of me.
Getting annoyed, I said, "Would you kindly quit talking and get on with it? I swear I'll pay you."
The guy's eyes sparkled mischievously. "Well, now that you've given the green light, I guess it's time to get serious." He firmly held onto her thighs and said, "Spread your legs for me, Master."
Harriet’s POVI woke up, recalling the insane thing I did last night. I actually paid a rogue to take my virginity. And now, that man is lying next to me on the bed.My heart was racing as I shifted to my side. I held my breath when I realized his long arms were wrapped around my naked body. He was still fast asleep, so I figured it was the perfect opportunity to make my escape.Just as I was about to slip away, his massive arms grabbed hold of my waist. "Ahh!" I gasped, quickly returning to my previous position."Where do you think you're going, my dear master?" he whispered in my ear.My breathing became heavy as I turned to face him, getting lost in his mesmerizing gray eyes. Feeling the heat rise within me, I pushed him away. "Let me go. Our agreement is finished.""I'm not so sure about that. You said you would pay me, but I still haven't received my money. Don't you think it's necessary for you to stick around a little longer before we finalize our deal?" His grip tightened, tra
Lucas’s POVI gazed from a distance at the grand mansion belonging to the Alpha family of Moon Walker Pack.‘Even from here, her scent is captivating,’ my wolf, Isha, remarked.Lost in the aroma that filled the air, I was interrupted by a voice calling out to me."Alpha.”I turned around to find my Beta, Calix, standing behind me.“Haven’t I told you not to address me like that while we’re still in the Moon Walker Pack?” I pointed out.Calix bowed his head and apologized, “I’m sorry, Sir Lucas. It’s difficult to change the way I refer to you. By the way, I’ve prepared the car. Alpha Connor is waiting for you at the restaurant.”"Got it. We'll be there in a bit," I responded, shifting my focus back to the mansion.Calix, not wanting to leave me alone, chimed in, "Alpha, can I ask you something?""Sure, go ahead," I gave him the green light."You met your mate last night. And you two mated. But why did you let her go?" he inquired."She's a half breed," I explained. "She couldn't recogn
Ethan’s POV (Harriet’s Stepbrother)Because our family's business was struggling, I had been working extra hours and hardly ever went home. So, when I finally got the opportunity to step back inside the house, I was really looking forward to spending some time with my stepsister, Harriet. However, Mom asked us to welcome an important guest who turned out to be nothing more than a rogue with no Pack. Nevertheless, he was a potential investor, so I decided to stay put, hoping that I would get a chance to talk to Harriet afterwards."Hello, Mr. Lucas. I'm Amelia, Connor's wife," Mom introduced. She pointed towards me and added, "And this is my son, Ethan."Lucas's intense red eyes locked onto me. I raised an eyebrow and greeted, "Good evening.""Nice to meet you, Mrs. Wonder and Ethan," Lucas replied before shifting his gaze to my sister. And damn. The way he looked at Harriet didn't sit right with me. I was so used to seeing men staring at my stepsister with intense gazes, but his was d
Harriet's POV"Harriet!" Ethan's voice boomed through the garden.I rose from my seat and laid eyes on my stepbrother. His presence was enough to send my body on rattle. His piercing gaze peered downward, lingering on the box that I dropped onto the ground.Despite Ethan's strikingly handsome face, there was a darkness lurking beneath his facade. And right now, in front of our guest Lucas, he couldn't hide his true colors."Good day, Ethan," Lucas greeted with a forced smile."Good?" Ethan sneered, his voice dripping with malice. The exchange between the two lacked any warmth. The garden suddenly fell into an eerie silence, the tension thick in the air. It felt like an eternity before Ethan's voice finally shattered the stillness.Ethan sarcastically remarked, "Well, I can't exactly say that my morning has been 'good' now, can I?"Lucas then explained, "I simply asked Harriet to show me the garden.""We have maids for that purpose," Ethan replied. "Next time, kindly direct your inquir
Harriet's POVIt felt like a surreal dream when Lucas carried me and effortlessly jumped through the rails. We survived unscathed, leaving me questioning just how much strength he has.He didn't even shift in his wolf form when he did it.As Lucas reached the ground, I looked at him with astonishment.'Is he really just a rogue?'"Hold on tight and stay quiet. Tonight, we'll make our escape from this prison," he whispered."That is," I wanted to argue, but I couldn't find the words to refute him. After all, when Lucas described this place as a prison, I couldn't help but agree. It really did feel like a jail to me.As I remained silent, Lucas took action.Silently, he skillfully maneuvered past the guards surrounding the mansion. Before long, we arrived at the gate, where a car was waiting for us."Get in. Be careful," Lucas gently guided me into the backseat of the car. As I got in, I noticed a man sitting in the driver's seat."Good evening, Miss," he greeted.I looked at him and no
Amelia’s Point of ViewI saw my son in his room, his eyes empty, gazing into the distance. I walked over with a smile, like a mother hen checking on her chick."What's on your mind, son?" I asked.Ethan turned to me, looking unhappy. "I'm thinking about the party tomorrow."I raised my eyebrows, staying calm. "And what's bothering you specifically?"Ethan ran his hand through his hair, loosening his tie. "It's my sister's engagement."I couldn't help but smirk to myself. It was about my stepdaughter, just as I had expected."Is Dad really gonna announce my sister's engagement to Alpha Alex in front of all the guests?" Ethan asked, clearly ticked off.I placed my hand on his shoulder, giving him a gentle tap like I was singing him a lullaby. "Ethan."Ethan glanced upwards. A sudden flash of lightning illuminated his face, with ominous clouds looming overhead."Alpha Alex holds the key to our financial security. Your father is just struggling to get by. And Harriet is our way out," I re
Lucas’s Point of View Werewolves know how to stalk their prey. So, when I planted a kiss on Harriet’s hand right in front of everyone, it was like I was staking my claim and warning them all to back off from my mate. He-wolves kept on eyeing my mate as soon as she came.Mr. Lucas. Remember, we have a large audience," Harriet whispered, attempting to loosen her hand from my firm grip. "No problem," I responded. "I'm a newcomer in this Pack and in this country. They'll probably just assume I'm following a tradition from my homeland." "And is that tradition all about seeking attention?" she retorted. "Well, I'll take that as a compliment." I let go of her hand and took a step back. The entire room was abuzz with curiosity about the connection between me and Alpha Alex's fiancée. It was like a captivating soap opera that had everyone's attention fixed on the scene. Just then, Connor, the event's host, made a grand entrance and greeted the guests with a booming voice. "Good evening,
Harriet’s Point of ViewI remembered what Ethan had said to me earlier, right before he asked me to dance."You're such a stubborn girl, sis. I told you to cut ties with that rogue. Haven't I warned you enough? Or don't tell me you've already fallen head over heels for him?"I responded, "I didn't do anything. He's the one who acted all friendly. I can't embarrass our guests in front of everyone."I was confident that I could keep my composure and avoid Lucas as much as possible. But then, when Lucas asked me to dance, my heart started racing like crazy.I glanced at his outstretched hand. The situation had me captivated, almost tempted to take his hand and say, "Sure, let's dance." But then...Alpha Alex positioned himself between us, making his presence known. "Apologies, Mr. Lucas, but Harriet is my soon-to-be wife. I can't allow you to lay a finger on her."All attention shifted towards my fiancé."You're free to dance with any other she-wolf here tonight. However, choosing to pur
Lucas’s Point of ViewIt’s been two centuries since my Luna departed from my side.I, the mighty Alpha King of all Packs, have continued to guide the Midnight Pack until it regained its former glory in recent times.Today marks a festival that is open to all Packs. Numerous werewolves have gathered to commemorate the unity of all Packs in the world. As I strolled through the festival, I overheard female wolves conversing about me."Is that Alpha Lucas?""I heard he's more than 200 years old. Yet, he appears so attractive and youthful.""Didn't you know? My mother mentioned that powerful werewolves do not age. Maybe I stand a chance to become the Alpha King's Luna."“Are you fine marrying someone who’s much older than you?”“Who cares? He’s hot and young physically.”"Quiet down. The Alpha King was devoted to only one woman.""Oh. You mean Luna Harriet who passed away? What's the point of loving someone who's no longer here? He needs someone to keep him company and..."*Cough* a sound
Third Person’s Point of ViewA peculiar sensation lingered within Lucas. When Alpha Ethan kept on saying that Lucas won’t be happy with Harriet, he thought something was wrong.‘Why was he so confident when he’s in the verge of dying by my hands?’It was then, a loud gun shot rang in Lucas’s ear. When he looked back, he saw his wife covered with blood.Everything seemed to be in slow motion.Lucas beheaded Ethan before he rushed towards his Luna.“Harriet!”At that moment, when Lucas was running into her side, he realized that Ethan had anticipated this very scenario. He had orchestrated the presence of someone who will shoot Harriet.Perhaps, Ethan ordered that if something happened to him, then Harriet would also die.It was a twisted plan, born out of a love that had twisted into something dark and malevolent. As if time had slowed to a crawl, Lucas watched as Jenine, Callix, and the other werewolves sprang into action, hunting down the sniper who had taken aim from above. But Luca
Ethan’s Point of View“I married Alpha Lucas and became the Luna of Midnight Pack.”I, completely devoted to this lowly half-breed, Harriet, gazed at her.No matter how much I love her, she would never be mine. That f*cking ring on her finger served as a reminder for me that even if she lost her memories, her heart would always belong to that sh*tty Alpha Lucas.I struggled to find my voice, my words barely escaping my lips."I still can't recall anything, brother. But deep within my heart, I am certain that you aren’t my mate. The wolf I love is only Lucas, the Alpha of Midnight Pack.”As soon as she uttered the name of her beloved, a commotion erupted.“Werewolves from Midnight Pack!”Wolves of my Pack shifted into their wolves form as a Pack of enemy went in in their wolves form.Among them, my eyes went to the large brown wolf with crimson eyes. That’s Alpha Lucas, the Alpha of the Pack which was supposed to be gone.“Grrll…”My perfect wedding filled with growls. And I… yeah, dam
Harriet’s Point of ViewFinally, the moment had arrived to make my way to the wedding hall.A group of maids trailed behind me, gracefully carrying the train of my gown. The hall itself was decorated with elegance. My gaze swept across the rows of guests seated.Werewolves from different Packs gathered here to witness Alpha Ethan’s greatest day. However, what a great day for Ethan is the day for me to do my revenge. As the music played, I positioned myself at the end of the aisle with a vibrant bouquet of Lily clutched in my hands wasWhen I looked at the opposite end of the aisle, I saw Ethan stood alongside the Pack’s Elder. The cheers and applause from the crowd overwhelmed my senses, causing a slight dizziness as I took each step forward. With each stride to Alpha Ethan, it felt as though I was walking towards the sharp cliff.I was so arrogant.I had been so confident that I would be able to retrieve my memories before the wedding. But, I had failed to recover it. Nevertheless, t
Third Person’s Point of ViewAfter meeting with Lucas, Harriet returned to the villa. Her bigger concern was still Alpha Ethan. She knew he would never leave her alone as he kept his promise by visiting her during weekends. But before he could do anything to her, like touching her and making advances, Harriet had already planned how to make him believe that he had already had her.She continued giving him the drug that Lucas provided – a drug that can cause a wolf a hallucinations.Because Ethan was head over heels to her, he had never noticed that Harriet had been pouring the substance into his glass. After Ethan had consumed it in his wine, he had hallucinations of s3x with Harriet all that night.“Ethan, mo, more! Deeper, deeper! Aaah!”Harriet wrapped her arms and legs around him. She embraced him desperately as if a newborn child was holding the hand of its mother, who is everything in the world.Ethan knew he couldn’t stand his climax, and he pounded her waist for his own and Ha
Harriet’s Point of View “Ahh, hmmm…”This time, I was finally going to come.Without realizing it, I pushed myself closer to his mouth, only to be met with a chilling gust of air. Lucas had pulled away, leaving me wanting more.Impatience consumed me as my legs shook uncontrollably.I was on the brink of ecstasy, just needing a few more seconds, but he always stopped right before. My body was so sensitive that even the gentlest breeze made me moan. “Ahh, hmm!”Gasping for breath, I gazed at Alpha Lucas with desperation in my eyes."Lucas, please hurry," I begged, and he moistened his lips while unfastening his belt. With a quick movement, he slipped his arms beneath my legs and hoisted me up. As I clung to his neck, I was taken aback by the sudden insertion of something thick into my center. My eyes sparkled with the brilliance of a thousand stars. The joy that had almost slipped away suddenly engulfed me, causing me to tremble uncontrollably.“Hmm…” A soft sigh escaped my lips, fill
Harriet’s Point of ViewAfter Lucas kissed me, I remained silent, fanning myself with my hands to cool down my flushed cheeks.I was grateful for Callix and Marjorie’s argument, which distracted me a bit and allowed me to compose myself.Right now, I could tell that Alpha Lucas is really my mate. But the mention of it still caught me off guard.I glanced at Lucas, who was unusually quiet, and briefly wondered if anyone noticed that the Alpha kissed me.Marjorie came back to our side, dusting off the grass from her clothes. I leaned over to remove some grass from Marjorie’s hair.“Are you alright?” I asked.“Of course,” Marjorie replied, playfully winking. “A couple’s argument is like trying to cut water with a knife.”Meanwhile, Callix was drinking alcohol while Jenine teased him. Marjorie, who was equally drunk, sat beside me with a mischievous smile on her face.“Did you enjoy the food?” Marjorie asked.“It was delicious.”“I cooked it myself,” she said.“Wow. You are such a good co
Lucas’s Point of View“I want you to remember me, Harriet.”With many regrets, I extended my hand and brushed her face. “I am so sorry, Harriet.”I tried so hard to hide my heart.Knowing Harriet’s situation, I knew that I should not pressure her. I wouldn’t have said that I wanted her to remember me as soon as possible. The wind blew fiercely, causing Harriet’s dress to flutter and her blonde hair to dance in the breeze.Even if Harriet couldn’t remember me, perhaps there was something that could comfortmy heartHaving that in my mind, I bent a little and whispered, “Tell me you love me.”With a faint smile, she embraced me tightly. As she leaned in to kiss my cheek, she whispered, “I love you.”My smile grew wider, touched by her sincere words.I planted a gentle kiss on her forehead. As she instinctively reached to soothe the spot, I playfully intercepted her hand and planted a kiss on it as well.“Seriously...” I chuckled, capturing her hand. “I’m only defenseless when it comes to
Harriet’s Point of ViewI remained in the villa even after Ethan left and after I requested to him to reduce the number of maids and guards who were constantly monitoring my activities.Ethan, who believed in my lies, agreed to my demands. As a result, the level of surveillance around me loosened significantly.Next, I informed the maids that I wanted to spend the entire day sleeping because I was tired mating with Alpha Ethan. No one was allowed to come in my room and disturb me.This was, in fact, a clever excuse so I can be with Alpha Lucas all day.Seated on my bed, I gazed out of the open window.Hours had passed since I had sent the note to Beta Callix, asking Lucas to visit me. Since then, I had been anxiously waiting for his arrival."When will you come?"Just then, I heard the sound of flapping followed by a gentle thud against the windowpane.Turning my head swiftly, I caught sight of large wolf who perched on the windowsill. He shifted into his human form and gave me the sw
