THE REHEARSAL DINNER

Stacy had organized the rehearsal dinner as was the tradition of the groom’s family to host the dinner party as an opportunity to oblige to your future mother-in-law and get to meet and know most of the family from both sides even the ones who had traveled from far and wide. Stacy had booked dinner for about fifty people in a popular restaurant and booked the whole venue specifically for dinner. He had organized with the restaurant about the food, furniture, linens, and dance floor for people to eat, merry and dance, and leave at their convenience.

The restaurant location was on the rooftop where they had made transparent roofing where you could enjoy watching the moon and the stars and also enjoy the beautiful town lights from most of the tallest buildings in the city. Enjoying watching the traffic moving and the lights from different cars moving in a specific direction from the roof was spectacular. You could sit on your own and still enjoy the view because watching the lights both stagnant and moving and others dancing was spectacular.

Stacy had hired a lighting technician who was to light the venue making lighting one of the single most important elements in the wedding, especially lighting the led bulbs which brought about the glowing purple theme of the wedding plus candles that were specially selected from over the top chandeliers which perfectly light the venue and kept the party lives especially the disco hall which was a special lounge made for the occasion to light up especially the live band which was praying love songs, country music, slow jams, rhythm and blues, and people dance to the music enjoying the plenty of food and drinks that they enjoyed and looking forward to the wedding that was to happen the following day and especially being a double wedding which happened once in a while and they had come to grace the occasion.

The rehearsal dinner was to kick off the festivities for the pre-ceremony or a little bit of fun. The people that were invited were mainly of course the groom and the bride, the immediate family members, the bridal party, their guests, and out-of-town guests who had traveled a long way to take part in the celebrations and the host being the King’s family everybody wanted to be part of the celebration. The two grooms had dressed in grey suits and purple brochettes to match the lady's dress which was light purple but had different designs and were designed to fit every bride's curving and the make-up was perfectly done making them the most beautiful brides to be. Their hair was clipped up and the dresses were sleeveless revealing their beautiful bust the dresses were made to fit up to the knee and fit their structured curves which made them envy many. 

When the couple entered the hall where the rehearsal dinner has hosted the lights reflected onto their faces and they looked very glamorous in their designer clothes when Mr. King senior rose to thank all for attending and gracing the occasion he only acknowledged the grooms and brides and they stood up but were not introduced by their names and he left it vague saying that people will know who they are on the wedding day to the amazement of many. Mr. King said he was proud of now having two daughters as an addition to his family and they had proudly sired for him three kids and was looking forward to more kids in the future so the couple should remain active, not dormant to the amazement of many. The couples opened the dance floor with a slow love song and the guests were welcomed to eat, dance, and be merry at their convenience.

At the rehearsal dinner, there was a lot of fun people enjoyed the music played by the band the local music was superb, they danced to the rhythm others had a special request for their favorite songs, and the groom was denied a chance to dance with the brides and were allowed only the first few songs and the bridal party joined in the dancing and they danced to few songs they planned on dancing together and perfecting the steps so that they would perform in the wedding. The rehearsal dinner was stress-free and the couple enjoyed the right as bachelors before the wedding celebration. There were gifts exchanged at that time and introductions were made the bride and groom were introduced by people of the nuclear family from both sides enjoying a meal together and having fun was most welcomed.

The brides excused themselves before because they needed to see their kids before they go to sleep since the wedding day they might not have time to spend with the babies, the bride was very careful to eat a healthy meal they didn’t want to have a bad stomach on their big day and drink lots of water and needed to get a good night sleep not to wake up with sleeping bags under the eyes and also needed to go and pack their bags and suitcases for the clothes they would be using on the wedding day. They also needed to confirm their dresses and jewelry were in perfect condition last but not least they needed to break in their wedding shoes by strutting down the hallway, dance in the kitchen with the shoes or do everything in their power to avoid painful blisters at the feet in the wedding day since there was a lot of walking and standing to be done plus dancing also.

The groom went for a beer and to rehearse some dance moves for a song or more that they would perform at the wedding reception plus they enjoyed the boy's night out before the two grooms would live the life of being bachelors.
