THE LAKE HOUSE

When Lily met Lewis at the mall they never talked about ken or Tina each pretended not to know. But when Lewis put one of his means to tail Lily without her knowledge he noted that she was buying maternity outfits and informed his boss Lewis who told him to tail her until he found her destination. The private investigator followed Kevin’s taxi until it arrived at the cottage by the lake house where the Kings family often held their holidays, especially on Christmas and thanksgiving, and summer holidays when they are not traveling abroad. The Lakehouse was located in a serene environment, you can go fishing or rafting in a boat or hiking in the woods away from the noisy town.

Lewis planted one of his men in the cottage he pretended to be a researcher and confirmed that indeed Tina was residing there with Lily and she was in bad shape but there was a resident doctor who was attending to her. Although Lewis would have liked to take her from the cottage immediately Tina was delicate and in her condition, she was to be handled with care. She only added more security men in the cottage who booked the cottages as residents for a week. Aunty Joy was happy that business was booming and could not believe her cottage was full to capacity. She could not book any new clients. Her nephew Kevin also became busy with picking up or dropping off the clients in town or even being sent to buy groceries and in the case of Tina, he had to take a trip in the evening due to her chocolate ice cream craving. When Ken was going out one of the security guys inquired where he was going since he wanted to buy provisions in the mall and Ken was pleased to have company. He explained to the incognito security guy that he was going to buy some ice cream and chocolates for an expectant lady who had odd cravings, he would also go to buy some groceries that auntie Joy needed to make breakfast and lunch since the residence was full to capacity, Kevin also noted it’s like karma since he helped the expectant lady business has definitely been booming. She was their lucky star and her auntie had really taken a likening of her. She was a beautiful woman but had a broken heart her husband had cheated on her in broad daylight. Ken started the guy with what Tina had told him at her lowest. She wanted to surprise her husband whom he thought was working too hard with lunch so she bought him packed lunch in a restaurant and had taken a taxi because she knew they would leave for a home together. When she alighted from the elevator he went to surprise her husband just to be surprised when she opened the door to see a woman on top of her husband kissing him. 

She became so heartbroken and when she stopped Kevin’s cab she was behaving like a crazy person crying and when she boarded and I asked her destination but replied that she needed to get away from there as fast as possible when I enquired to where she replied she wanted to go to a quiet place like a park or hotel that’s when I remembered my aunty Joy and her kindness and felt I should take her there since I knew my aunty would help the lady. She is beautiful and if I met the bastard who broke her heart would punch him hard. She looks delicate and doesn’t deserve to be punished. 

The security guy noted and when Kevin went for the groceries he passed all the information to Lewis who now knew what transpired and called his friends on what they were to do to get Tina back and make her understand it was all a misunderstanding. He wanted his brother to reconcile with his wife since now he looked like a lost cause.  Brain his security man's name offered to purchase They planned on how they will host a party in the cottage and have Lily and Kevin convince Tina to attend then her mum and aunty Cherry would talk to her and convince her to return home. He called one security man called Brian in the cottage and told him he had to organize a birthday party on the weekend. Brain asked “birthday party boss?” yes we need a reason to visit and your bash will be a good excuse. I will call my friend from the catering services Lucy she’ll organize all the logistics just make sure the date is 10th Aug and it’s your 40th birthday” Okay boss my birthday is 10th August and I am turning 40 years” he said grinning. “I have to go since I have to plan the birthday party with my friend Kevin”, Brain said that loudly since she had seen Brain coming and was also alerting Lewis they can’t talk anymore. 

Brain who had paid for the ice cream when Ken wanted to pay it back refused and said I am buying for a sister so don’t you bother refunding. “By the way is it okay if I organize my 40th birthday party at the cottage I saw they have a beautiful garden facing the lakeside. “Brain enquired from Kevin. “Wow that would be splendid, I can’t wait to inform my aunty Joy she’ll be thrilled but cooking for extra guests will be a challenge. Brain replied don’t you worry we will be hiring catering services all I need is your presence with your aunt and the other guest in the cottage and your permission to host the party. “I will pay for hosting and hire the caterer for the garden party but it would be lovely to host it by the lakeside garden and we will have some bonfires, a live band, food and drinks, and dance to put life in the cottage”. The caterer will be coming tomorrow to take you to your aunt and see the venue. They will talk to your auntie Joy about the logistics and charges.  You talk to your aunty Joy I would love to hold the party here and invite a few family members and friends we will be about 20 members. Kevin said okay to Kevin and thanked him for his assistance and grocery purchase and would tell Brain of her decision later after talking with auntie Joy.  “I appreciate your buying the chocolates for my friends”,  it’s no problem just make sure she doesn’t overeat them They're too sweet and in her condition, she’ll put too much fat, Brain said smiling. Will do Kevin replied when they arrived at the cottage Brain assisted with the groceries dropped them and went to his room where they had a serious talk with Lewis about hosting the upcoming party. They talked about the party and Lewis promised to call the caterers and he will give the details and also introduce Ken to her for preparation. Everyone was eagerly waiting to attend the party except for Tina who stayed in her room or balcony and only took a walk after her friend Lily insisted it was important she breathes some fresh air especially while seated at the benches facing the Lake. They went out for a walk and sat at the bench relaxing enjoying the breeze and the birds singing in the trees that were planted near the lake and the view and the landscape were breathtaking.

We should have come here earlier Tina started to complain to Lily it's so breathtaking and relaxing. Lily was happy to see her friend who was now enjoying herself in a swig that was located nearby but Lily warned her to take it slowly because she might fall. But Tina was too stubborn to listen and decided to go on swinging. What they didn’t know was there was a group of men rafting in the lake and among them, Ken was there when he saw Tina swinging carelessly he felt like coming to stop her but his friends and brother who were also accompanying him in the rafts stopped him. They told him they had organized the party and he should not blow up their plan. Tina at last got tired and hungry and requested Lily to take her back to the house to relax.

Lily did that gladly because she had also noted the people who were on the rafts looking at them until she became uncomfortable. She held Tina’s hand when walking because she seemed exhausted and Ken was feeling so bad because it was his duty to take care of her and the young ones in her tummy. He almost ran to her but was held down by his brother and friend because they wanted to make a pleasant surprise to her and not to upset her especially due to the doctors instructions to handle her with care because her condition was delicate. The ladies went back home had a shower ate their dinner and Tina went on to sleep but her mind became relaxed due to the walk and could not wait to go for a walk in the Lake the following day.
