Chapter 104: Divided Hearts

Ryker’s POV

As we drove back to the mansion, a warmth filled me each time, I remembered what Ella had said. She had finally gotten to the point where she refused to let anyone trample down on her.

But as much as I loved this new attitude, I didn’t know how it was going to work with Willow in the same room.

As the vehicle came to a stop, I large lump came to sit in my throat, and I knew it was not going to be easy at all. Especially as my eyes met with Willow, who was waiting for me at the door, eager to know what had dragged me out of the house when she was giving me one of the most important messages in our relationship.

“If you fear her, it's fine. I can just leave now,” Ella whispered by my side as if she could read what was going on in my head.

I swallowed the lump and squared my shoulders. “I am not scared of anyone. I only want your safety,” I mumbled as anger merged with the pressure I was already feeling.
