Chapter 108: The Shadow in the Hall

Michael’s POV

David and I rushed out of the room to check who had been there, but there was no one.

I tried using my nose to pick the scent of whoever had been there but aside from my scent, the only other scent in the corridor was the rose-like scent associated with the royal family —which could have come from David or even my body since I had been with Selena before now.

“Maybe it was just the wind,” David said behind me, but my wolf was on edge.

There was someone in the corridors. I could feel them, I just couldn’t see them, yet nut I knew they were there.

“It couldn’t have been the wind. Someone was here.” I started walking further down the corridor, turning on the light to be sure there was no one lurking in the shadows. But the hallway was still empty.

“It’s a waste of time, Michael. Pull yourself together. Get back inside and get some rest. First thing tomorrow morning we shall go to Dark Fur pack. We will end this once and for all. If we must bury her so she can stay dead, th
