Rosa POV.

A chance at redemption. I turn and look at Merrick, and he looks down at the floor. Oh gods, that is why he wants to talk to Jadara.

“I’m not ready to forgive him, Rosa. Please understand.” She whispers and I can feel the sadness roll off of her. I nod my head at her words as I turn and face Bellious, whose black eyes look at Merrick.

They flicker back to me, and he offers me a sad smile.

“You need to open the gate, you command them. You will need them to win this war against the fae king.” He tells me and I nod my head. I take a breath and sigh loudly as I move closer to the gate. Ok I can do this. But how?

“How do I open the Gate Bellious?” I ask and he walks to me and smiles at me.

“That I can’t tell you. You will figure it out. I only assist when necessary. It is my job to keep the Gate shut.” He says and I groan.

“But you can open it, so tell me how?” I fold my arms over my chest and raise an eyebrow.

“Naturally I would, but I can not. You have to figure it out.” He say
