Chapter 42.

Rosa POV.

We have found an abandoned pack in a clearing in neutral territory. We have settled there for a few weeks to regroup.

My family, no, not my family. They didn’t follow, but the word is that the Dark Moon has vowed to destroy me and my army for me being a traitor by killing a future Luna and Beta. I chuckled when I heard that little rumour. They could try.

More and more species and creatures have joined my ranks. We are growing stronger every day.

Charlie left five days ago to find Asteria and so we are patiently waiting for him to return. He better get back soon, though.

“Don’t worry, he will be fine, Rosa, and so will you be. Come on, we need to go on a rummage.” Angel says, and I know she is right. My heat hit me three days ago and so far it is being held off with the help of magic and potions.

I stand and feel dizzy, but I steady myself as I walk into the forest in the search of the ingredients I need to keep it at bay for another day. I walk before I stagger and clutch a
