“What the fuck was that, man?” Brody shoves me in the chest, and I growl at him when Casta steps between us. He has a hand on my chest and Brody’s.

“This will not help us. The oracle has been taken. Without her, the Angel will take over and consume power like it’s her favourite drink. We need to move now. We have to stop Aberdone before he gets his hands on Rosa. If he does, then we are all fucked!” he says, shoving us both back.

“The darts should have knocked her out.” I mumble, feeling like shit, but I couldn’t allow her to run into an ambush and I failed. She is going to get herself killed. If Rosa can’t control the Angel when this is over, she will be put to death.

“How did Rosalie control the Angel in the first place?” I think aloud when Asteria sighs and comes forward.

“She didn’t. She let her out. Rosalie was the anchor to the Angel. She was a pure blooded fae. Rosa isn’t. The Angel needs another fae to be the anchor. She chose Jadara. Rosalie let her take control
