Chapter six - Arrogant Molly

     

Katrina's phone alarm rang and she woke up. Checking the time and seeing that it was almost seven in the morning, she came down from her bed. She needs to prepare her boss breakfast.

Walking into the bathroom, she started brushing her teeth. Few minutes later, when she was coming out of the bathroom, she tied her night robe well and hurried downstairs.

She went into the kitchen and switched on the kitchen lights. She has to make coffee first, her boss likes drinking coffee first thing in the morning.

 Just as the coffee was ready, he came into the kitchen.

"Good morning Sir " Kat greeted.

"Morning, " he replied in a cold tone.

"Well, I'm not surprised. I'm used to it already. He's back to his normal self."Katrina said inwardly.

"Give me a cup of coffee, " he said.

"Okay sir " she replied and did as she was told. She didn't add milk as he doesn't like it with milk.

He drank it and kept the cup in the kitchen sink.

"I'm leaving for the office by 9. The food should be ready before then " he said.

"Okay Sir " Kat replied and he left.

She began cooking. She brought out her flour and other baking ingredients. She was planning on baking her favorite biscuits and chocolate cookies.

She started mixing the flour, sugar, butter and all and stirred all together. Soon, the mixture for the biscuits and cookies were ready. She started cutting out different shapes for the biscuits.

She put both the biscuits and chocolate cookies in the oven. She remembered baking with her mother and singing along with her.

Katrina waited for some time before opening the oven, the biscuits were golden brown and the cookies were baked already. She brought them out and placed them on a plate.

Rinsing her Boss favorite plate, she played some cookies and biscuits on his plate and took it to the dining table.

She came back to the kitchen, took a glass cup and poured milk into it and took it to the dinning table too.

Breakfast was ready!!

    Katrina went upstairs to tell her boss his breakfast was ready. She knocked on the door and he came to open it.

"Your breakfast is ready, Sir, " she said.

"What did you prepare? " he asked.

"Chocolates, cookies, biscuits and milk, " she replied.

"Okay. I'm coming down soon " he said.

"Okay Sir, " Kat replied.

Katrina peeped through his door and saw Molly curled up on his bed, she had forgotten that Molly came here last night.

  Eric called Katrina and she went downstairs to answer him. She was in her room. She went down and noticed he was through with eating, his plates were empty. He was also fully dressed for work.

"Molly said she wants to have breakfast in bed. Any moment from now, you should take some cookies and milk to her " he said.

"But Sir, do I really have to serve her in bed??.. I work for you not her " Kat said protesting. She won't allow herself be treated like a slave to that thing upstairs.

"Molly is my fiancee and you must treat her with respect, not only her, but every one of my women. " he said.

"Okay Sir, " Kat replied grudgingly.

"Good " he said then stood up from his chair taking his briefcase with him.

"Tell her I left already " he said and she nodded.

He walked past, opened the door and went out of the house.

"He didn't even commend me for my cookies. Tch.."Katrina said after he left.

  

  She packed the plates to the kitchen and rinsed another plate, dishing out some cookies and biscuits, pouring milk into a glass cup and putting them all on a tray, she took it to Molly.

When Kat got there, Molly was sitting on the bed with her phone in her hands. Katrina greeted her, then dropped the tray on the bed. Without waiting for her to say a word,she quickly left the room.

Katrina served breakfast for herself too. 

The cookies were still remaining, so she decided to take some to Alvin. She had totally forgotten about him.

She carried a tray containing a glass of milk and cookies to Alvin. 

He was happy to see her.

He collected the tray from her and sat down on a bench. Katrina sat beside him and they discussed as he ate.

"Nice cookies, " he said.

"Thank you, " she replied.

"You really can cook, " he said.

She smiled at him.

"You are really lucky that the boss didn't say anything after checking the clothes, " he said.

"That was because there's nothing for him to complain about. I washed it clean " she said proudly and he laughed.

"You are hardworking, beautiful and smart, " he said.

"Don't flatter me," Kat replied. She was blushing already.

"I'm serious. Why did you come to work as a live-in maid? " he asked.

"Ummm... It's personal " she replied and he gave her a weird look.

"Plus I need the money, Boss pays well " she quickly added to avoid any suspicion.

"Ooh I see, " he replied, nodding.

"Yeah. I think you're through " I said.

"Yeah "he replied.

"Okay, let me take the plates back to the kitchen and wash them, " she said and he nodded. 

"Thank you," he said.

"You're welcome " Kat replied and took the plates back to the kitchen.

She saw Molly standing at the doorway of the kitchen, she was fully dressed. She was about to leave.

Good for her!!

"Nice cookies, " Molly said to Katrina.

"Thank you, " Kat replied.

"But don't think you can win Eric over with your cooking and all" Molly said.

"Excuse you.. What do you mean? " Kat asked.

"You know what I mean. Eric is mine alone and you should stay clear. You're clearly not his type but who knows you might seduce him to fall for you " she said.

"I don't have to seduce him, he clearly is going to fall for me" Kat retorted back and smiled at Molly's facial expression.

Molly gave her a hard look.

"You're joking. How about you work for me? " she said.

"Huh? "

"I want you to monitor all his movements and the women he's meeting and give me feedback, " she said and Katrina laughed.

"I'm sorry but I can't do that, I came here to work as a maid not as a monitoring spirit. Give your job to someone else " Kat replied.

"Fine, suit yourself. I'm leaving " she said.

"Bye," Kat replied.

Molly cat walked past Katrina, opened the door and left. Katrina shook her head wondering how someone as beautiful as Molly could be so stupid. She went into the kitchen to do the dishes.

"Just wait and see Molly, I'm here for games and I'll definitely take your man away from you" Katrina swore to herself.
