Chapter Forty Three

Elena's POV

“Vy? Why is there blood on your head? What did you do to yourself?” I asked as I released my hold on her.

She sniffed. “I had an injury there earlier today. I fell because I was lost and I didn't watch where I was going. Don't panic. I promise it's nothing much. I'm really fine. I just need my brother to clear this mess before it gets any worse.”

I looked at her. She was still too young to be going through all these. But I didn't know how to console her, so I just looked at her and smiled then pat her head.

“Have you eaten? Rodney told me the chef said you've been crying since you got home. Why would you think your brother killed your parents? He's not a psychopath. He's got a heart too.” I asked looking at her with concern in my eyes. She avoided my eyes by bending her head.

“I couldn't bring myself to eat as I lost appetite after reading that article. I'm afraid the articles might be true. My brother isn't all what you think he is, Elena. Apart from shutting himself out
