Habang binabaybay namin ni Ali ang kalsada na dinaanan namin kanina ay, biglang may mga sasakyan ng pulis ang dali-daling binabaybay din ang pinanggalingan namin kanina. Nagkatinginan kami ni Ali mukhang alam na rin niya ang iniisip ko na maaaring papunta iyon sa lugar kung nasaan sila Jen.
Dahil si Ali naman ang nagda-drive aya agad niyang niliko ang sasakyan para sundan ang mga sasakyan din ng Pulis. Lalong kumakabog ang dibdib ko lalo na at may narinig kaming putok ng baril. Hindi ko lubos maisip ang dadatnan ko kung maabutan kong hindi maganda ang lagay ni Rage.
Hindi naman talaga ako madasalin pero sana lang talaga, sana ay ligtas siya at nasa maayos na kalagayan.
“Andito na tayo.” Sabi ni Ali habang dali-daling tinatanggal ang ang seatbelt niya, mukhang nag alala din siya kay Grayson.
“Anong nangyayari?” Tanong ko, dahil nilalabas ng mga Pulis ang ilang bantay kanina at nakaposas na sila. Ganun din sila Jen at Rage, inaalalayan nila parehas si Achi.
Lumapit na si Ali kaya naman ay sumunod na rin ako, kita ko ang luha ni Achi habang nakahawak siya sa braso ni Rage at umiiyak. Rage knelt down a little to have a talk to Achi.
“Don’t worry Kuya’s here, let’s go home, Okay.” Rinig kong pakalma niya sa bata, tumango lang naman ito at sumakay na sa sasakyan mukhang gusto mapag isa.
“Hey.” Hinawakan ko ang braso nya ng marahan.
Nilingon niya ako at hindi siya nag atubiling yakapin ako kahit na nandito kami sa gitna ng gulo. Not literally, but still everything is not in a good state.
“It’s okay, we’re free.” Bulong niya sa akin habang ramdam ko ang higpit ng yakap niya.
Hindi na ako nagsalita pa at mas gusto ko na lang na damhin ang yakap niya.
“Rage?” Napatigil kami sa moment namin nang biglang nagsalita si Jen, alam kong si Jen yun.
“What?” Sagot ni Rage.
“I’m willing to be by your side, I think I’m gonna be a witness against my own father, I’ll help you.” Direstong bigkas ni Jen, halatang walang pag aalinlangan.
“I told you, you don’t have to do that to your father, being with him is enough. I know I can beat your father, but you don’t have to be involved. You are his daughter, he needs you.” Maliwanag pa sa buwan lahat ng sinabi ni Rage, at some point he is right, this fight is between Rage and her father's gang. I don’t think Jen needs to be in this situation.
“I know you can’t allow me to fight him, but I don’t want to stand for a person who has done bad deeds and lied to his own family. Just this once Rage, ako naman.” Pagka-bigkas non ni Jen ay agad na nagpatakan ang mga luha niya, nasasaktan siya, sobra!
Tumingin ako sa paligid para sana hanapin si Ali, nakita ko naman siya sa tabi ng ambulance car ginagamot si Grayson mukhang siya ang natamaan kanina ng baril.
“Okay, but you have to listen to me. Kailangan din kitang protektahan sa kanya.” Kita namin ang pagbabago ng expression ni Jen, mas lalo itong malungkot.
“So, you knew na hindi niya ako palalampasin.” Nanghihinang sagot ni Jen.
Nakuha ang atensyon naming tatlo sa mga Pulis na palabas, posas posas na nila si Mr. Constantine hindi kami tinignan ng tatay ni Jen at dire-diretso lang sya sa paglalakad hanggang sa makarating sa sasakyan ng mga Pulis.
“Let’s end this together.” Nagulat ako sa biglang nagsalita si Grayson nakaalalay sa kanya si Ali.
“Let’s put him in jail.” Si Kevin na all this time ay nasa dulo lang namin ni Rage, pero mas duguan siya.
“We’ll help you get justice.” Sabi ni Jen, mukhang sang ayon sa tatlo.
