The echoes of heartache

I was sitting down in front of my mirror with a drink in my hand. “I can't be your stepsister; you are mine, only for me,” I was talking to myself in the mirror. I thought it was Earnest.

“I love you, Jas. Allow me to be the only man in your life.” I remembered the day he confessed that to me. I sipped from the bottle. It felt as if he was whispering it to me at that moment. When he confessed his feelings to me, I felt like I was flying into paradise. But then he wasn't here. I screamed and cried silently.

“So sad I won't get to feel your gentle touch,” I said to my reflection in the mirror as my mind drifted back to that moment he first made me feel like a woman.

“I'm glad to be the person that deflowered you. You will forever be mine. Nothing will separate us, not even my father. You had stolen my heart, and I'm going crazy for you each time, each moment.” Those words were heart-melting ones he said to me, but he ended up as my soon-to-be stepbrother.
