My phone beeped, and Kai’s message appeared on the screen. I scrolled through my phone to read it. As I opened it, I saw, "I'm waiting for you to come over." I smiled at the message, but I hadn't forgotten about everything. This was all I needed to ensure I moved on with my life.

"Hey, I will be right there in a jiffy," I texted back and stood up, looking for a simple dress to put on. Seeing the blue sky gown, I smiled. "I think I should wear that," I said to myself. I slipped on the blue dress and admired myself in the mirror. The dress fit perfectly, and the color brought out the brightness in my eyes. I grabbed my phone and purse and headed out the door, walking directly to Kai's place.

When I got there, I knocked slightly at his door, and he held it open. "You look stunning, Jas," he said with a warm smile circling around his face.

"Oh, thank you for the compliment," I blushed. Of course, I'm always stunning; that's why I was able to capture Earnest's heart
