89. At Least, He's Safe.

April's POV

I looked at Ivar in a mixture of shock and worry. I tried to get him to talk, but he dismissed me and told me hurriedly to get into his car.

“There is too much to say. We can't talk here, April. I think it's best to go to your house and have this discussion.”

I paused and looked at him with my eyes widened at his suggestion.

“What? What is it? Why are you looking at me like that?”

I reeled myself in and pulled myself together. I remembered how Susan glared at me when I asked her where Dorian was. If she wasn't concerned about his whereabouts, then our place was definitely not where we could have a discussion about Dorian.

“I am sorry, but I don't think my house is the best place for that discussion. I have a feeling that Susan won't like it.”

Ivar looked at me in confusion.

“It's difficult to explain, but just take my word for it. I think we should have the discussion at your place.”
