A Significant Decision

I was once again in Edward's arms, completely surrendered to his kisses, melting as his hands roamed all over my body. It was wonderful to have him holding me firmly, as there was no certainty that my legs could prevent my literal fall in the face of such eagerness and passion.

But at that very moment, the reality of what we were doing insinuated itself through the fog that was clouding my thoughts, and with great reluctance, I pulled my lips away from his.

"We can't, Edward..." I said, even though our mouths were still too close to each other.

"We shouldn't," he agreed, but his mouth was once again taking possession of mine.

I wished I could be stronger, but Edward's silly smile before kissing me knocked down all my defense
