I tried to speak with Andrew clearly and directly, wishing for him to leave as quickly as possible. I knew Edward was about to arrive with Timothy, and I didn't want Andrew and Edward to cross paths at all, as I was certain that the atmosphere between them would be extremely tense.

When I opened the door and faced Edward, what worried me was that Timothy wasn't with him.

"Edward!?" I couldn't hide my surprise and immediately asked what concerned me the most at that moment. "Where is Timothy? Why isn't he with you?"

"What is this man doing here, Beatrice?" Edward questioned.

Edward didn't immediately answer my question, his attention more focused on Andrew's presence in my house.

"Did you forget to pick up Timothy?" I asked, initially with irritation and then with growing concern. "Did something happen to my son? Is that it, Edward?"

I wasn't paying attention to Edward's question about Andrew; my main concern was Timothy.
