THE NEWS OF vampires changed my entire plans. I did not want to risk Reine's safety and that of my children too by leaving the security of a pack - no matter how shitty the alpha is.

I woke up at the crack of dawn and started to prepare to head out to the hospital. That was my life now. Sleep. Wake up. Eat. Work. Work. Work.

When was the last time I shifted and went for a run? I wondered as I packed my hair into a towel and dried myself. The door opened and the light steps of Reine came in.

"Luna?" She called.

"In the room," I replied.

She came into the room. "Good morning, Luna," She greeted.

"Did you sleep well?" I asked and immediately realized how silly that question was. Omegas rarely had a good night's sleep, but she simply shrugged and watched as I styled my hair and got dressed then she said, "There is very minimal activity in the hospital today,"

I looked at her through the mirror. "What do you mean? Why?"

"Because of what happened yesterday," she replied

Well she didn't care THAT much considering she decided not to tell anyone. She literally prioritized dinner and a nap over a mass murder lol
