I PRESSED A button and the glass chamber opened. I made a dramatic "whoosh" sound as I picked up one of the vaccines. They were finally ready. I held it up against the fluorescent light and swirled it around.

I had only made a small dose for this first batch to see the results. Feeling accomplished I leaned back in my chair and swiveled around, looking at the product of the past 3 months.

I skittered away from the machines and brought out my phone. I went through the call logs and dialed a number. The call was answered after a few rings.

"Doctor Anna?" Doctor Phil's voice came through.
