David walked in slowly, looking around the place he one lived in. The place that he grew up in. The place was still the same. The pack house was a huge place, consisting of a grand room and several rooms on each floor of the house. The kitchen and the living room would be on the ground floor. While the first floor consisted of the beta’s quarters, one part of it was used by the elders. The second floor had the high elder’s room and the top floor was specially for the alpha and Luna.
A feeling of nostalgia washed over David as he ascended the grand staircase which was covered in red carpet. This was the same set of stairs he used to run up and down during his childhood. He used to play in the hallway with Cade, who used to be his best friend then.
A sad smile curved his lips when remembered those days. When he reac
Narrator By the time everything had settled and the civilians retreated back to their homes, it was almost sunrise, so they decided to stay in the pack house for the day. Nolan continued to think about Kat. Today was her birthday. And it was when she was supposed to find her beloved. However, that will have to wait. He couldn’t wait to touch her so that she would finally realise that he was the one she had been waiting for. He just couldn’t wait to go back. A group of wolves came to meet David, asking him to be their alpha. But David denied. He no longer had the desire to be their alpha. He wanted to be with Carol. The king cleared his throat, gaining their attention. “Actually you and Carol will be crowned king and queen of th
King Richard pov. “Attention everyone! Princess Carol and Prince David!” The announcer announced into the microphone. Making all the guests turn towards the stage where I was waiting for them to come and sit on the throne. I smiled when I saw my little girl walk towards the stage, hand in hand with her beloved. Both of them, held their heads up high, their faces void of any emotions, though I knew that in their hearts, their feelings would be going haywire. After all, they were going to become the next power couple of the millennium. It meant that they would be the most powerful with the opal at their service, however, it also meant their lives would be filled with trials and hardships. Perhaps, lots and lots of wars and enemies too. But I knew they would make it t
Narrator. King Richard found himself on a strange land. There was greenery everywhere. However, he was certain that this wasn’t the forest that he grew up in. Definitely not the place where his clan was located. He started to look around for anything interesting. “Richard!” That voice shocked him beyond words. His heart skipped a beat as his breathing hitched. Can it be? Gasping, he turned in the direction of the voice, searching desperately for the owner of the voice. “Maria?” He called out hopefully. Is it possible that she was back? “Hey.” The voice called out once again. And this time, Richard found himself frozen on his spot. Slowly, a smile spread on his face. There,
Marsha found herself on a barren land. It seems as if there had been little to no life in that place for some time. The air was hot and dry and there were ugly cracks on the ground. The scorching sun burnt the whole place, including her delicate skin. Marsha tried her best to shield her eyes from the glaring sun. But then a kick in her abdomen made her realise that she was not alone. Placing one hand on her swollen tummy, she looked around for a shelter. But this place was empty, not even a single tree. “What is this place?” she murmured to herself. “Hello? Anyone there?” she shouted. But her voice only got lost in the thin air. No one was in the ear shot. Or so she thought. “Don’t panic. Don’t panic.” She told herself, trying her best not to freak out.
Marsha grunted on the bed. She had found it hard to sleep with her swollen belly. She kept changing sides and grunting in pain. Her unborn pup seemed to be super active tonight. He kept kicking and doing somersaults in her womb. At last, she sat up on her bed and stared at her swollen belly. She was completely exhausted. The past few months had been tiring for her. Though she had been excused from the Luna duties because of her health, lack of sleep has worn her out. She felt her pup kick the side of her womb once again. She chuckled. “Aren’t you going to let mommy get some sleep, little one?” she talked to her unborn pup. The baby kicked in response. She sighed and looked at her sleeping mate and pouted. She too wanted to sleep. Finally, when she was cer
Devin pov. “Dad. Look what I can do!” I watched David do a somersault on his bed. I chuckled. He sure was such a joy. If not for him, I would have gone feral after I lost my mate 9 years ago. “Wow. That is so cool. High five.” I replied with much enthusiasm and raised my hand so that he could high five me with his tiny little hand. His baby blue eyes twinkled in excitement as he giggled and jumped on his mattress to give me a high five. He was a lot like his mother. His eyes, his smile and his funny personality reminded me of my beloved mate every single moment of my life. “Daddy, are we going to see mommy tomorrow?” he asked as he jumped on his mattress. I smiled and nodded. “Y
4 years later. David pov. It is just another normal day for us. Except that I am super excited. I will be turning fourteen tomorrow. And then, my wolf will wake up. Most of us get our wolves at fourteen. That is when we start our adulthood. When our wolves wake up, we can start to train ourselves. And me being the heir, my training will be harder and more intense. “Hey. Man.” My best friend Cade greeted me with a brotherly hug. We had always hung together ever since childhood. He had turned fourteen earlier this year and his wolf had woken up. I watched in awe as he trained. His wolf was a brown wolf and it was so awesome when he shifted. It was sickening at first to see fur sprouting out of human skin and his limbs morph into a wolf. But it definitely was so thrilling
Devin pov. To say that I am angry would be an understatement. I was pissed off to no end. The school principal called me to inform me that David had run off. When I arrived at the school, I was shown a video of David beating three kids down to a pulp. What I knew was, David is not the kind of boy who would attack without a reason. When I questioned about it, they didn’t have an answer. All they knew was Michael, Taylor and Nolan were beaten up. I snarled at the three who were seated in front of me in the principal’s office. All of them cowered in front of me. After all, I was their alpha. “Tell me what really happened.” I sneered. “You better tell me or else I will make you tell me what happened.” I growled at them. By now, they were trembling in fear. No one would
