Ch.6 Back to Julliard

Alexandra POV:

Friday 20 Sep

I take a deep breath, holding back some tears "bye, sweetie" mom said to me "go be your best version of yourself for me, ok? My little warrior" dad said to me and gave me a tight hug. I inhale his cologne one last time before pulling apart and hugging mom, "call us every night!" I chuckled remembering Amber saying the same thing to me, God I missed her "I will, I will" words barely came out of my mouth because mom suffocated me with her hug.

"Well, You need to be on your way..." she said with a frown, wiping her tears away, straightening her dress "see you soon, ok?" she said with a small smile on her face, I hugged them one last time before going back to Julliard again "see you soon!" I yelled, turning back to them before going inside the Uber.

"Ladies and gentlemen, America airlines welcomes you to New York City! The local time is 5:30 PM. For your safety and the safety of those around you, please remain seated with your seat belt fastened and keep the aisle(s) clear until we are parked at the gate." the intercom announced after I left the plane area and secured my baggage I called an Uber to Juli and started unpacking at the boarding.

"It's been a while, Julliard," I say to myself, looking at the room. It was still quite empty, so I thought about getting a drink from the nearby Starbucks downstairs and going to the dance studio. I wore a white crop top, black sweatpants, and a matching unzipped jacket. When I got to Starbucks, I ordered a Strawberry Açaí Lemonade refresher and head my way to the dance studio.

When I went to the dance studio everything hit me like déjà vu, I used to come here every day it was like a safe spot for me. I connect my iPhone and Bluetooth and start dancing my favorite choreography. The song's name was 'Taki Taki by DJ snake ft. Selena Gomez, Ozuna, Cardi B's.

After I finished the dance and a few more, my drink was finished, and I needed a shower it was around 8:00, so I went back to my dorm. While going to my room I was surprised to see Amber, Leo, and... Xander in front of our dorm. Surprisingly, Amber's hands were around Leo's neck and Leo's hand was around Amber's waist. "Oh, hey, Alex here!" Amber shouted at me, gesturing me to come to her.

"Okay, I feel like I just missed one episode of river dale. What's happening to you two?!" I say gesturing to Amber and Leo, Amber chuckled "Surprise! We are together," she said in a cheery voice, I couldn't help but smile I felt 2 pairs of eyes on me when I turned it was Xander? "Ok well, I'll talk to you guys later, I need to go shower," I said looking back at the love birds.

After I finished showering, I wore a new white top with tin strips, gray pants, and an oversized gray jacket. When I got out of the bathroom I looked if Amber was there or not, it looked like she was texting someone her smile was so big, and she was also blushing that human being never blushes, I swear!

"Oh God, my best friend has the 'blush whenever Mr. Boyfriend texts / the most cliché thing ever' virus," I said acting shocked and teasingly

"Shut up!" she said, her face fully red, I chuckled and went to my desk to grab my phone. It was 9:00 PM, so I decided to help make dinner. I was not surprised when no one was in the kitchen, I knew most of the people will come tomorrow, so I just planned on making some beef dumpling soup for me and Amber.

While I was in the middle of making the dumplings I heard a door open behind me, I turned around to see Xander, I nod my head to him gesturing a hello, some few dishes were left since like the whole summer, and I was surprised when he started cleaning the dishes AND FOR SOME STUPID REASON I WAS MAKING THE DUMPLINGS BESIDE THE GOD DAMN SINK!

Just casually, our elbows accidentally brushed against each other, Alexandra POV: my head was centimeters away from reaching his shoulder. I couldn't help but peek and give glances at what he was doing, somehow him washing just the dishes turned me on the veins on his hands- "Can you pass me the soap?" he said I grabbed the soap and gave it to him accidentally brushing his hands, I quickly removed my hands and continued to finish the dumplings.

After a while, I just couldn't help and the tension in the air wasn't helping it, "Can we not let the past affect our friendship?" I blurted out after I realized what I said and focused on back the food, I decided to make 2 more bowls of dumping for Leo and Xander because I'm way too nice. After I finished making everything I got 2 trays and put 2 bowls on each tray, I gave one to Xander and was going back to my room "Sure" I heard him mumble. I couldn't help my have a small smile on my face.

Xander POV:

I woke up to see Leo with a big grin texting someone at 8 in the God damn morning, I reluctantly got out of bed and went to the bathroom, I'm not even going to start about how bad my hair is looks. After I finished freshening up, I wore baggy jeans and a gray hoodie. I got out, and he is still texting with that big stupid grin of his "Oh no, looks like my friend got the 'just got a girlfriend and now having the biggest grin while texting her' virus" I said sarcastically "more like sexting" mumbling to myself "Shut up!" he said still having the stupid grin on his face.

"By the way, yesterday that beef dumpling soup was so good, thanks, Alex!" Leo said to her. We were heading to the small café downstairs, this morning everyone else came and Leo decided why don't eat at the café because Alexandra made the dumpling soup for us last night.

"You're welcome?" she replied and Amber starts laughing, but I really couldn't care less about what was happening around her except her, she caught me staring at her, and she quickly looked away I couldn't help but smirk. Surprisingly, we created small talk, "That's so cute!" Alex kinda never squealed really heard a squeal before, currently Leo and Amber were talking about their amazing summer together, but I just focused outside. Never noticed how good the view looks.

Alexandra got these heart waffles with fruit on the side, Amber got a strawberry shortcake, and Leo and Xander got sandwiches.

I never usually ate at the café, but it's not that bad, after we finished eating we were heading back to the dorms. I took out my phone to check the time it was around 11 AM, I had some essays due but not that many things to do.

Soon I was on top of the couch and scrolling through my phone it was around 5 PM right now and there is nothing to do "hey, sorry for being weird yesterday" suddenly I heard a female's voice behind me, I immediately know it was Alexandra "it wasn't that weird" giving her a small smile "Hey, thanks for the breakfast by the way" she said "No problem" I said" you know we don't have to act like enemies talking for the first time" giving her a small grin "well, you think about it" I chuckled.

Somehow from that, we talked for a couple of minutes...well 1 hour...okay, okay for a couple of hours! For some reason, just thinking about the conversation puts an effortless smile on my face. I just don't know what I'm feeling...

Alexandra POV:

Currently, I was finishing this script for the Musical Theaters, but I couldn't care less about the script, all in my mind was the conversation I had with Xander... An effortless smile always comes to my face when I think about it, and surprisingly we became friends. At this point I don't know what I'm feeling anymore it's just really-

My thoughts were cut by a knock on the door. "I'll get it!" I told amber and I got up and opened the door, it was...AIKO! "You know, I started worrying about if you're going to come this semester or not!" I said exaggerating my thoughts "come on, it was just one day!" she said chuckling "where is Amber?" she said "Hanging out with her boyfriend" I said acting annoyed "I AM NOT! IS THAT AIKO?!" Amber yelled from her bed, "boyfriend? Tell me all about it!" I opened the door wider for her to come in.

"Finally!" I yawned stretching out my arms it was 10 PM, the whole afternoon we spent catching our friend up on what happened later, and told Amber and Aiko that Xander and I were on okay terms with each other. Well, I multi-tasked and finished my script that somehow turned from sci-fi / Action to Romance.

We made Spicy Udon Noodles Aiko taught us well she tried, in the end we ended up using YouTube because she sucked at explaining. I was wearing a white top, gray sweatpants with a gray thin jacket.

Present time, Amber was already sleeping, so I quietly closed my laptop and study lamp, I got up and went to the bathroom. After refreshing up, I closed off the bathroom lights and door and went to my bed. I tucked myself under the blanket, enjoying the warmth and the softness of the duvet.
