I was standing outside the marriage court of the werewolf world, wearing a wedding gown. Never in my imagination, I thought that I would have to come here to marry someone, especially after how everyone rejected me.

I loved someone from childhood but he rejected me because he loves his fated mate. Then my best friend proposed to me, and I said yes, but he also rejected me after finding his fated mate. I thought maybe it was a magic of mate bond that werewolves love their fated mate more than their chosen mate, but here, destiny also proved me wrong.

My fated mate, Ryan, wanted to reject me just after meeting me, but because of circumstances, he couldn't, but it didn't change anything. He did reject me, but after taking my virginity. I still consider that day as my worst nightmare.

I lost all my hopes in love after my fated mate rejection and was living my life with my daughter. Yes, I got pregnant with Ryan, and I realised this after he left me.

I was living a peaceful life until Ryan chose to return and claim his right over my daughter. Thankfully, there was a way to stop him, but that way was disastrous in itself. I was going to marry the ruthless Alpha of the werewolf world.

Everyone in my pack was as shocked as I was. The girl who got rejected by everyone is now going to marry an Alpha.

"Let's go" My mom came from behind, bringing me back to the world. She passed me a broken smile, knowing I didn't want this... I don't want to marry that heartless person. I nodded and went inside, expecting my groom to be standing and waiting for me, but like always, he failed me.

"Where is he?" I asked his beta who rolled his eyes at my question, showing he has no manners like his Alpha.

"He will be here in a while." He grunted and went to the side to stand away from us. I sighed and sat on the chair, waiting for the devil of my life. The person whom I started loving but he rejected me after mating.

"What do you think?" My wolf, Akira, asked anxiously.

"About what?"

"What if he rejects us again like before and refuses to come?" She asked.

"I'm not afraid that he would reject me, Akira. It will not be something new for me after getting rejected by many, but I'm afraid for my daughter," I said and looked at my daughter, Jenny, who was excitedly waiting for her father to come and accept me.

"He is known as heartless and ruthless, Alpha. It won't be a big deal for him to break my daughter's heart, but I will never forgive him for this." I thought and looked at Jenny. Her smile starts withering as it's been more than an hour since we were waiting for Ryan. I sighed and stood up then went near Jenny.

"Let's go princess. I don't think he will come now," I said and extended my hand towards her.

"But he promised me," she said. Tears brimmed in her eyes.

"That's why I never wanted to agree with this marriage thing", I hissed at Akira, who forced me to say yes. I was trying to find words to console my daughter when suddenly, Akira howled in happiness. Before I could ask her the reason, someone's voice surprised me.

"And I know how to fulfil my promise"

"Daddy", Jenny chimed and ran towards him. I know it's Ryan without looking. So finally he decided to show up after making me wait for more than an hour.

"At least he came", Akira muttered.

"Should I be grateful for that?" I scoffed and closed the mindlink before she spoiled my mood more than it was.

"Alpha Ryan" His beta bowed his head in respect. I rolled my eyes and looked at the court officer to start the procedure of marriage.

Ryan stood beside me but I refused to look at him for once. Somewhere I knew his eyes were fixed on me.

"Here... Signed this paper and then marked each other while taking the oath," Councillor said, passing a register towards us. I picked up the pen to sign.

"Stop", He said and kept his hand on the register. I raised my hand and looked at him confusingly, finally giving him the satisfaction of making eye contact. He smirked when our eyes met.

"You will not sign these freaking marriage papers," He said in a low tone, then took out some paper from his pocket when I didn't ask him any questions.

"You're going to sign this contract paper," He said. I snatched the paper from his hand. Shocked words would be less to explain my emotion at that moment.

"A Contract?" I look at him, not able to believe my eyes.

"Yes... If you want to marry me, then you have to sign this marriage contract," He said without any shame. I glare at him and start reading the contract along with the terms and conditions he mentioned.

"You cannot reject your mate but he can reject you if you did something wrong" I read the first condition and then scoffed, remembering how he rejected me before like a coward after mating with me without having any conversation.

"You have to fulfil all your Luna duties while fulfilling the duties of a wife" I read and looked at him from head to toe.

"Do you really think I would let you touch me after how you took my virginity and rejected me" I hissed.

"There is no need to recall old things. We will end up arguing. Read further" He grunted. I shoot him a dead glare before reading his next stupid condition.

"We both will not mark each other until the entire pack agrees and votes for you to become their Luna" I didn't say anything on this condition because I have zero interest in becoming his Luna. I sighed and read further.

"Don't expect any love from your mate. This marriage is a contract marriage where you have to fulfil the duties of a good mother of Jenny along with the duties of Alpha and Luna. There is no place for love in this marriage. If any of you fall in love, then others have a right to back out from this marriage" My heart missed a beat. Only If he knew I never stopped loving him, then he would have never written this condition. Our past was brutal but my love for him never died.

After a pause, I shook my head, reminding myself to stay focused. Nothing can happen between us because I know he will never love me. A heartless person like him can never love anyone.

"You have to pleasure the Alpha as he wants. You cannot refuse him." I gritted my teeth after reading his last condition and crushed the paper in my hand before looking back at him.

"What kind of absurd contract is this? What do you think of yourself?" I growled. His beta rushed towards us to protect his Alpha after seeing how furious I was.

"Lower your voice," He said and encircled his hand around my waist, pulling me closer to him. Surprising me with his actions. I look at his hand and then at him.

"I don't think there was anything wrong in any of these conditions." He shrugged his shoulders. I clenched my jaw, unable to believe how someone could be so shameless. He held my chin and made me look into his eyes, which I was avoiding because his mesmerising eyes always made me forget why I was mad at him.

"If you want to marry me, then you have to fulfil the duties of a wife," He grinned, increasing my temper.

"I won't sign this" He kept his finger on my lips interrupting me.

"Shh," He shushed me and turned my face towards my daughter, who was looking at our side with a big smile on her face, thinking her mommy and daddy were finally getting along. Tears welled up in my eyes realising the truth will break her heart.

"Think about her before making any decision, kitten" he whispered in my ear, indirectly threatening me to sign my death note, which means this stupid contract.
