Prologue

A beast was once a beauty

     He flew away from the perfidious council who wanted his throne more than him, leaving all the conspiracies and lies behind he glided in the sky from realm to realm. Finally changing himself in a human form he walked on the land of creature with mortal flesh and blood.

     He never truly cared about humans as they were weak and short lived, there existence was like a blink of eye for a dragon like him untill that one day he saw her walking towards him with such a grace and brightness that could make the brightness of stars look fade.

     As she walked past him he noticed her brunette curls falling below her shoulder, with a gentle nod she walked away from him taking a part of his heart and his capacity to think away with her. 

     He felt somehow drawn to the memories of a frail looking girl with innocent eyes that pierced from a delicately beautiful face.

     He smiled and asked himself, “Is this love?” breaking into a mirthful laugh as he found his own thoughts foolish, he saw a human woman for the first time and he was fantasizing her without even knowing if she was aware of his existence or not. He hoped they meet again and when they do he asked for nothing from her or the world but just to stand next to her and breathe the same air as her. 

     Finally the day came when he met her, with same innocence and boundless rebellion in her eyes. The world seemed a little wider for the scope of love between them. Following the ups and downs they got close to each other and one day with more caution than needed he let her saw him with his true glory, wings wide and fire in his eyes. 

     He saw in her eyes that she didn't fear him and that was the time when both of them let their guards down and soon enough they were intertwined in each other, drinking each other up and quenching their thirst. 

     With a unbreakable promise of never leaving each other alone he went to dragon realm and gave up his claim on the dragon throne, leaving everything behind he left his world to live in her arms but the truth was far from it because the future was dark and bloody. 

     Werewolves, dragons oldest enemies. They had a weird dynamic between them which could destroy the world and yet the werewolf chose to destroy them. 

     The woman heart filled with sorrow as she saw her lover in pain.

     To end the war between her lovers with wings and his enemy with fangs she sacrificed herself with the last words “I'll always come to save you, my love.”

     Devasted by her death he begged mercy for her, to spare her life and took his own instead but that was not how the rule of afterlife work. He gave up his powers to bring her back but every attempt became futile. Determined not to live without her he decided to take his own life but it was already too late as without his powers he became immortal, he had to suffer in this world alone and wait for his lover to reincarnate. 

     At the end he remembered one thing that there were times when he couldn't protect her but she always came forward to save him and now was his time to save her from him. A human and a dragon could never unite not now not ever and again the destiny held its own plan for them.
