Chapter Fifty-Nine

-Dante-

I walked into Jasmine’s room to find her all dressed and prepared to go out.

“You did not tell me you were going somewhere,” I said and she looked up at me uninterestingly.

“You did not knock before coming into my room,” she said blankly, looking away.

“Do I need permission before coming into your room?

“It is not about getting permission, Dante. This is a simple courtesy. I might be putting on my clothes or in here with someone and you just barge in,” she said and I wondered about her bluntness.

“Why are you in such a mood Jasmine?” I asked but decided not to dwell on it. “Anyway, I heard you were ill yesterday and you did not tell me a word about it.”

“Maybe if you had cared enough you would know,” she turned away from me, adjusting the robe she was wearing.

“Of course, I care. But I wouldn’t know everything especially if you don’t think it is necessary to tell me. You should have sent someone to tell me at least.”
