Chapter Sixty-One

I sat in the courtroom listening to all the complaints of the council of elders in regard to the recent proposal that had been brought to the pack. I was already tired and fed up with incessant complaints and naggings. They were always complaining. I rubbed my forehead lightly.

“You have asked us to give you some time to come up with something and it is already two days now you have not said a thing,” Kim, one of the elders said. “Very soon, Moonbeam would send their messengers to get our response. I am sure they are expectant already.”

“I understand all you have said my council of elders but I do not still have an answer ready yet,” I told them and there was a low murmur of disapproval around the room.

“And why, if I may ask? I do not want to think that perhaps the alpha had been cold about this matter and has not given it a thought and that is why he had not been able to come up with an answer to give this great council.” It was Dante who had asked and I shot him a glare. H
