Chapter Fifty-Eight

I was very impressed with the analysis Jasmine made and was quite surprised she could come up with that in a space of minutes. Somehow, I knew I could trust her judgments. I should give her a chance to prove I could let her have a say in the matters of the pack.

“I will give you some of my men as you have requested and I will be expecting some feedback in the next few days. I will need it to be as fast as possible because the council of elders of this pack and Moonbeam is waiting for a reply from the proposal,” I told her and she nodded.

“I will do my best and make it fast as well,” she said and I stood up from the stool.

“Well it is getting late,” I said. “I should let you rest.”

“Alright, my Lord. Good night.”

“You can call me by my name,” I told her even though I did not mind that she called me that. But somehow, I wanted her to feel she had a special place of honor and recognition with me.

“Good night, Adonai,” she said. Now that sounded different and pleasant in a unique
