Chapter 27 You Can Offer Yourself to Her

Sadie sneered, “Explain what to her? She nearly killed my daughter. I’d rather settle my score with her instead,” With that, she turned and left the room.

Daniel shot a glare at Sadie but did not stop her from leaving.

Elliot frowned, puzzled by her swift departure. What was the connection between that man and that brat?

Who exactly was Sadie to the elderly woman?

As he wondered about that, Daniel expressed his gratitude. “Elliot, thank you for saving Dorothy.”

Elliot silently scoffed. ‘Why is he thanking me? It’s not like I did it for him.’

Nevertheless, he replied nonchalantly, “No problem.”

As the conversation ended, Elliot saw that Jeffrey was calling him.

Elliot had promised his grandfather that he would visit, so he answered the call. “Grandpa, I’m on my way. Adam? What happened? Alright, I’ll be there soon.”

After hanging up, Elliot told Dorothy, “You take good care of yourself. I have to go.”

She smiled and replied, “Thank you, young man.”
