Chapter 29 Disdain Instead of Gratitude

Sadie was infuriated and tried to smack Sophia, but Sophia caught her wrist in midair.

Her icy gaze locked on Sadie as she slowly stood up from her chair, saying, “I haven’t even settled the score with you yet. How dare you try to attack me? Let me tell you something, Sadie. If anything happens to my grandmother, I guarantee worse things will happen to your daughter!”

After saying that, she pushed her.

Sadie was no match for Sophia's strength, so she stumbled back several steps and fell to the ground. Aggrieved, she looked up at Lawrence and said, "Why did you bring her back from the countryside? Did you do it just to stir up trouble in our family?"
