Chapter Thirteen

I was frozen for a split second until Armond commented about Lilly. I felt the anger start in my chest and go up my face. “What the fuck are you doing here Armond?” I growled.

“Why so angry McAlister”, Armond said laughing. “I wanted to check on you since you never responded to me.”

“I’ve been rather busy lately” I stated angrily.

I looked at Lilly and could see the confusion and fear in her eyes. I felt a stab in my heart when I saw her face. “Lilly, this is an old friend of mine, his name is Armond” I said casually. “Would you mind going into the bedroom so I can catch up with him for a few minutes?” I asked. Lilly nodded and walked to the bedroom and shut the door behind her. I don’t know how I’m going to explain this to her but I would come up with something.
