Chapter One

“Please don’t move away Miss Peters” is what I heard throughout my last day at New Hope Elementary School. I felt terrible for moving away from my students but I knew it was time to move on to bigger and better things.I have been a first grade teacher for ten years living in a small town in Arizona. I love my little cottage and the people in town but I’ve always dreamed of living in one of the biggest cities in the US; Los Angeles, California. I was starting to get anxious because I was just realizing how close tomorrow was. I was trying to pack up my desk at the school so I could have the afternoon to pack up the rest of my house. My students were a little upset with me since I was leaving rather suddenly. I didn’t know how to explain to first graders that I had to get out of this small town.“Lilly, where are you?”, a voice called out.“I’m in here trying to get some things packed away and ready for the next teacher” I replied. I knew Lisa was coming over this afternoon to help me,

Chapter Two

I arrived at the dry cleaners that was listed in the letter around 9am, I gave them Mr. McAlister’s name and they immediately brought me the two suits I was picking up. The dry cleaner’s shop was a little grungy looking; it surprised me that a rich man such as Mr. McAlister would even bring his clothes here. I grabbed the suits and headed out the door. I needed to make a good first impression so I wanted to arrive at the office early and make sure everything was ready for my egotistical boss.I got to the office and had to take a step back just to look at how beautiful it was. It had a gothic sort of look to it but it was also updated with beautiful floor to ceiling windows; it actually took my breath away just looking at it. The gothic scenery made me think of how fitting this building was for Mr. McAlister, scary and mean goes pretty well with the building. I took the elevator to the fifteenth floor getting more nervous with each floor passing by. I wasn’t paying attention when I ca

Chapter Three

I’m running as fast as I can through the trees, my heart is racing. I feel like it will explode any minute. I can see the opening in the gate, my escape isn’t far off. I hear people yelling dogs barking, I know they are searching for me. I’m almost to the exit, my freedom, “Stop right there!!!” The guard yelled. I keep running, there’s a gunshot and it all goes black. I shot up from the bed drenched in sweat, heart racing. I look at my surroundings and realize I’m in my apartment in L.A. I rub my eyes and try to focus on my room. This nightmare has been occurring every night for the past six months. Something is going to have to change so I can actually get some sleep. I look at the alarm clock, 5:30am, crawling from the bed, grabbing my work clothes and heading for the shower. Getting out of the shower I glance in the mirror and see the dark circles on my chest and shoulders. Just another reminder of my secret life, a life I wish I could get away from quickly. I walk into the kitch

Chapter Four

I woke up wondering how today was going to go with Logan McAlister; it has been a week and he has been extremely irritating since the day I started. I’m not sure if I can handle working for him much longer before I blow up, he knows how to push every button I have without even trying. The only plus side to Mr. McAlister is that I get to look at his sexy smile every day, what I wouldn’t give just to kiss those sexy soft lips of his. When I arrived at the office, Logan was in his office yelling at someone on the phone. I'm just glad it isn’t me this time. I lightly knocked on his door to see if he wanted his coffee, “What!” Logan yelled towards the door.“Sorry Mr. McAlister, I just wanted to see if you wanted your coffee,” I said sheepishly. Why does he always have to be in such a bad mood towards me, I really don’t understand what I have done so wrong?“Can you not see that I am busy on the phone? Why would you come knock on my door when I’m sure you could hear me on the phone?” He so

Chapter Five

When we pulled up to the café I was shocked to see how little and normal the café was. I was thinking Logan would go somewhere exotic or fancy but maybe I was thinking of Logan the wrong way. The dry cleaner he goes to is also in a small neighborhood that isn’t fancy at all, I’m definitely starting to think I may have been wrong about Mr. McAlister. He helped me out of the black Mercedes he drove. We walked into the café and sat close to the big open window facing the busy street. I loved people watching so this table was perfect and maybe it could distract me from thinking about Logan McAlister too much. The waitress arrived and offered us free samples while we were waiting. I already liked this café. I wasn’t really in the mood for a big lunch at the moment so I just ordered a blueberry muffin and a coffee. Logan gave me a sideways glance, “Are you sure you don’t want anything more than that? It is my treat, no need to worry about paying.”“No, I'm fine, I’m not really that hungry.

Chapter Six

After getting home from the office I set my keys on the table and poured myself a scotch. I didn’t know how to go about getting Lilly to go on a date with me so I just said the first thing that came to my head. I can’t believe I actually made a bet that I could go a month without yelling or being rude, I’m really going to have to keep control of myself. I’ve always had a temper problem when things aren’t going as planned, I guess now is the time to learn how to control it. Lilly has to be one of the most beautiful women I have ever laid eyes on; she has those sexy exotic eyes and full luscious lips that I could kiss all day. I loved how she stood up to me when I got angry, that’s the kind of woman I needed in my life, someone that wasn’t scared of me. Maybe I should start sending her flowers every few days and see if it calms her fire. I walked into the kitchen to see Frannie making dinner, “So how did it go today with your new assistant?” she asked. “Well I think I might have m

Chapter Seven

I came out of my office to head to a meeting across town. I noticed the huge arrangement of orange and yellow lilies and smiled to myself. I would definitely have to thank Frannie later for such a good choice in flowers. “Lilly I will be leaving for the afternoon due to some meetings across town, can you make sure to email me any messages I receive?” “Sure thing Mr. McAlister”, Lilly replied. As I looked towards her desk I stated, “Wow someone must have a special person back home if they are sending flowers like this.” Lilly blushed bright red and stated, “Actually, I have no idea who they are from, but they definitely are beautiful.” She leaned over to smell the flowers giving me a great view down her satin blouse. I couldn’t help but look at her perfectly round breasts. “Well, was there a card or anything?” I asked. “Yes but it doesn’t say who it’s from”, she stated with a frown. “All it says is beautiful flowers for a beautiful woman.” “So it sounds like you may have a secret

Chapter Eight

As I was packing up my things to leave the office I received a phone call from Lisa, I answered quickly since I hadn’t talked to her in a week. “Hi Lisa, I miss you so much!!” I exclaimed.Lisa seemed thrilled that I answered, “I’m so glad you answered because I wanted to tell you that I’m thinking about coming to visit you this weekend.”I hated that I was going to have to tell Lisa no due to the meeting in Seattle, “I’m sorry Lisa; I can’t this weekend because I have to fly to Seattle with my boss for a meeting.”I could hear that she was kind of bummed but she replied, “Oh it's ok maybe the following weekend I can come up, I wanted to fill you in on the latest things around town here. I also wanted to tell you that I am talking to a guy and I think it is working out.”Lisa seemed so happy when she said that last part, I could picture her smiling as she said it. "Oh my god, who is it Lisa? I have to know!""Well remember before you left you told me Alex from the gas station had a th

Chapter Nine

As I was walking to the elevator to my apartment I received a text from Lilly. I decided to wait and read it after I got a shower and calmed down a little. This woman has me wrapped around her finger and she doesn't even know it. I don't know how I'm going to keep my distance from her at the meeting in Seattle. I asked her to come along partly because it was protocol but mostly because I just wanted to have her to myself for a weekend.I walked off the elevator to my apartment door; I could hear Frannie singing all the way out in the hallway. I couldn't help but laugh when I scared the shit out of her walking up on her quietly. Frannie jumped and slapped me at the same time; I thought she was going to have a heart attack for a moment."Sorry Frannie I didn't mean to scare you that bad, are you ok?" I asked."Jesus Logan McAlister you should know not to come up on me like that, I almost pissed my pants," she exclaimed, breathing deeply like she was out of breath."Let's not have that h

Chapter Ten

I woke up from the best dream I’ve ever had. I could still picture Logan McAlister’s tongue between my thighs. I realized my panties were soaking wet, which wasn’t surprising considering the image I had in my head. I rolled over to look at my phone and realized it was Friday morning. I jumped out of bed to make sure I had everything packed and ready for the business trip to Seattle that afternoon. After multiple times of checking everything, I just gave up and decided it would be fine. I got dressed to go to the office and make sure everything was set there. When I walked through the elevator doors I could hear Logan on the phone having a heated conversation with someone. I knew better than to interrupt after the last incident. I went to my desk to log in to my computer and check some emails. I printed our reservations for the hotel and made sure the flight was running on time. I could hear parts of Logan’s conversation even with his office door closed. One thing that stood out was L
