Chapter Four

2024-10-29 19:42:56I woke up wondering how today was going to go with Logan McAlister; it has been a week and he has been extremely irritating since the day I started. I’m not sure if I can handle working for him much longer before I blow up, he knows how to push every button I have without even trying. The only plus side to Mr. McAlister is that I get to look at his sexy smile every day, what I wouldn’t give just to kiss those sexy soft lips of his.
When I arrived at the office, Logan was in his office yelling at someone on the phone. I'm just glad it isn’t me this time. I lightly knocked on his door to see if he wanted his coffee, “What!” Logan yelled towards the door. “Sorry Mr. McAlister, I just wanted to see if you wanted your coffee,” I said sheepishly. Why does he always have to be in such a bad mood towards me, I really don’t understand what I have done so wrong? “Can you not see that I am busy on the phone? Why would you come knock on my door when I’m sure you could hear me on the phone?” He sounded so irritated like I should know better than to offer him his coffee. I had about enough of the yelling from the snot nosed rich boy, if he thinks this will continue he has another thing coming. I felt my face turning red and knew I was about to explode, “First of all, I am so tired of you yelling at me like I’m a piece of trash, IT WILL STOP OR I AM DONE! Second, you’re going to start talking to me with some respect, just because you’re my boss does not mean you get to treat me the way you do. I was being nice by asking if you needed your coffee, maybe next time I won’t be so nice and I’ll just throw it in your face!!!” I was fuming I couldn’t even think clearly I was so mad, I could tell he was seriously contemplating everything I said. “That is all for now Miss Peters,” he said casually like he could just blow me off. “You’re Damn right Mr. McAlister that is all for now, and I’m leaving for the rest of the day just so I can get away from you, enjoy your day,” I think I said that a little too sarcastically but I couldn’t help it, this man was going to drive me insane. I just want to beat him every time I see him with that sexy smile on his face, or every time he looks at me with those passion filled eyes. I walked to my desk to grab my things to leave but before I even made it to the elevator Logan was standing there like he wanted to say something, the look in his eyes made me want to tie him up and have my way with him. “Miss Peters I’m sorry, I have a lot going on with the company and didn’t think about how I was treating you. Would you like to go to lunch with me, it will be my treat?” I didn’t know what to say, this man can make me hate him one minute then the next I want to seduce him. “Ok Mr. McAlister, if you think you can buy me off with lunch you are highly mistaken,” I wasn’t going to let him try to pay me off with lunch or try to win me over. “I’m not the kind of girl that jumps at material things you might want to remember that in the future.” “I wasn’t meaning it like that at all, I’m sorry if it came off that way; I just think we both need a break from the office and it would be nice to try and get to know my assistant a little better. What do you say?” He said this with a grin like he knew I was going to say yes, he had such a big ego maybe I can knock that ego down a little bit. “Ok, I’ll go this once and if you try to get too personal or you irritate me again I will leave,” I said this as a warning but I knew I wouldn’t go anywhere, who would when they are sitting next to the sexiest man alive. I think I am going to be in for an exciting afternoon with Mr. McAlister. When we pulled up to the café I was shocked to see how little and normal the café was. I was thinking Logan would go somewhere exotic or fancy but maybe I was thinking of Logan the wrong way.
