chapter 23: Retaliating

Sonia sat still on the chair as she held her breath. She had added enough doze to the wine and the effect wasn't supposed to wear off fast.

Left with no other option, she turned to the sound of the voice and breathed a sigh of relief when she realized he was sleep talking.

She quickly fetched her phone from her pajamas pocket as she took pictures of the files before she disappeared as quietly as she came.

Unknown to Sonia, immediately she exits the room, Mr. Knight stood up and on the bedside lamp before laying back on the bed.

Sonia went to her room as she quickly transferred the photos to her system. She spends the rest of the night going through them and gives up after realizing that they didn't contain anything confidential that she didn't know about.

She brought out her phone and wanted to put a call across to Benjamin, but abolished the thought as it was late at night.

She laid on her bed and dozed off almost immediately as her body came in contact with the bed.
