chapter 49: Framed?

Vincent lingered around the school gate as he dialed Sonia's line continuously. Their first test would officially begin in an hour, and she wasn't in school nor responding to her calls which was unlikely for her.

“Losers know when to stop. I bet she's still reasonable after all. Being present or not doesn't change anything, but at least she's reasonable enough not to push her luck.” Vivian said as she chuckled dryly.

“She shouldn't cower away. Maya wouldn't believe that she isn't a good role model if I don't show her Sonia's name at the bottom where it's supposed to be. Please persuade her to come, so my sister can be free from whatever she had hypnotized her with.” Mara added as they walked away.

Vincent returned to the class as he patiently waited for Sonia's arrival. For the first time in ages, he was looking forward to the test and wasn't nonchalant like he usually was.

“All students are expected in the hall.” A lecturer announced with a megaphone as he walked around the classes.
