chapter 26: Beating them at their games

Vincent parked the car in a desolated area. He was feeling uneasy and remained seated behind the wheel.

“Won't you come down and lead the way?” Sonia asked, forcing him to take shaky steps out of the car.

“Are you sure this is a good idea?” He asked with feign composure.

“Lead the way.” She said instead as she gestures towards the path covered with grasses.

Sonia and Vincent walked along the lone road until they approached an abandoned warehouse. Vincent continued leading the way until they approached the last floor.

Sonia kicked the insect infested wooden door open with her leg as Vincent was fidgeting.

Taking in the view of the room, it was obvious that people had been here not quite long as she could see footsteps on the tiled floor that was already covered in dust.

“Why on earth would you bring me here? Do you plan to murder me?” She asked loudly and Vincent took a step away from her as her voice echoed in the silent room.

“He didn't plan to, but that might be the case if you don'
