chapter 32: Meeting again

Mara took cautious and demure steps towards Vincent. She had noticed him when he shouted earlier, and she won't allow any chance of bonding with him to waste. Even though she was angry that he was seated with a lady, she was bent on asserting her dominance and let the lady know she wasn't her match.

“Hi there,” She said as she waved her manicured fingernails at him.

“Hi,” Vincent responded begrudgingly and Sonia looked up from her phone.

“What? Why are you two here?” Mara asked with clear annoyance as she saw Sonia.

“Same reason you're here.” She responded with a shrug and Mara chose to ignore her.

“Can I sit?” She asked Vincent instead and Sonia took it upon herself to respond in Vincent's place.

“No you can't Barbie. We are having a civil conversation here, and we don't need a third party, okay? Now run off like the dog you're.” Sonia said and Mara was offended by her words. She wasn't angry that she was being referred to as a dog, but the fact that she had compared her to a Barbie
