chapter 27: Trailed

Sonia and Vincent exit the warehouse and Vincent's fearless expression was replaced with fright. He had forgotten about the consequences of going against Henry for a moment, and now he was ready to face the undeniable facts that awaited him —-the consequences of his actions.

Sonia stretched forth her hand and Vincent frowned his eyebrows in confusion. “The car key. Did you think I would let you drive? You have zoned out for minutes, and I won't have you shove me under the truck.” She said with an eye roll and Vincent dipped his hand in his pocket handling the key to her.

Sonia sat behind the wheel and Vincent entered the passenger seat as she drove out of the desolated area. If Vincent wasn't lost in his thoughts, he would have noticed her take a detour to an unfamiliar area.

“Back to earth, guy!” Sonia said, snapping him out of his thoughts as she parked the car.
