chapter 11: The betrothal gift

Sonia walked to the parking lot. Her lectures were over for the day, and she was tired as well. As she approached the parking lot, she could see the mess her motorcycle was covered in. She didn't have to guess before she knew who was behind the mischief.

“Pim,pim.” Two car horns sounded simultaneously behind her.

“I will give you a ride home.” Benjamin said simply as he rested on the car door.

“You don't intend to leave in that right? Hop in!” Vincent called out to her.

Sonia stood transfixed as she stared at the two men. One was her fiancé before her rebirth, while the other one was her supposed best friend who was in love with her.

Without thinking twice, she moved towards Vincent, and the latter drove off with a triumphant smile on his face.

Benjamin clenched his fist in anger as he watched the vehicle drive out of the parking lot.

“To the public library.” Sonia said to him as he drove out of the school building.

She had her own reasons for going with him. Benjamin had challenged
