chapter 10: The threat

Sonia jumped at a lightning speed with Vincent who she held firmly onto. She had moved out of instinct. She looked up towards the rooftop the billboard came crashing from and saw a familiar silhouette walking away. “Seems she doesn't know when to stop.” she thought as her gaze turned cold.

“Are you okay?” Mara asked Vincent who was still in daze staring at the dent the billboard created. They were surrounded as everyone was attracted by the loud thud sound.

“I would have been below that if we were a minute slow.” he said as he pointed at the dent which was just before the cafeteria.

“It's because you hang out with this loser. I'm sure she inflicted her bad luck on you.” one of Mara's underlings, Vivian, said as laughter erupted from them.

Sonia glanced at her as she remembered an incident that happened in the past.

“I saw Mathew making out with a girl in the female restroom. You should separate them.” Vivian had said to her, and she quickly sprinted to the restroom not knowing it was
