24. Missed you more.

Naya's POV

I don't know what led me into telling Rowan about the anonymous group, but I guess it wasn't a mistake. I'm smiling at the text message he sent me.

“I knew he'd approve of it,” Elsie says to me. “What a special human he is.”

“I know, right. I heard things like this do happen during these competitions,” I say. “If the group is looking to invest in me, then they've found the right place.”

I flag a taxi down and settle into the soft cushion of the back seat as he drives me to the office.

I'm early today, much more than other days.

There's only a few people in the general compartment as I walk through, and none of them is yet to start working on their designs.

I unlock the door. Sophie isn't here yet.

Well, it will give me more room to focus on doing what is important to me.

I have to respond to the anonymous group.

It takes roughly quarter an hour crafting a good response. And by the time I'm done, I send it to Reilly to read and make any suggestions. She's a really smart girl
