30. You made us proud.

Naya's POV

Elsie can't stop jubilating and my eyes just can't stop shedding tears. I can't believe I did it. I got to the final stage of the competition.

I'll pray under the moonlight tonight and thank the moon goddess for shining her light on me.

I want to jump around everywhere and jubilate, but I know better than to celebrate two early. The competition is more than challenging, it's scary.

I came to realise today that there were some people who scored ninety percent in the first phase. The two Osward sisters! Marie and Sharon. They've been fashion designers since birth.

All through the second phase today, I never saw anxiety on their faces. It felt like they owned the whole contest.

I wonder if I'd be able to lace their shoes in this contest.

“Hey.” Someone taps me from behind and I turn to meet Marie.

“Hey, you,” I let out nervously, managing a smile.

She hugs me tight.

“You're truly amazing.” She whispers. “You deserve your win.”
