35. His Command.

Naya's POV

A bang on the door wakes me up. It comes again and again, and I'm forced to get up from my seat.

I thought Rowan warned everyone in the mansion not to ever knock on the door of my designing room.

I shove my feet to the door with dazed eyes. “Who is that?” My voice cracks.

“Open the door immediately, Naya,” Rowan's voice comes with a command.

I don't ask him why. I go ahead to quickly obey his command, and he walks in, eyes glued on me until he's right in front of me.

“I thought you said no one was going to knock on the door,” I complain.

“Yes. But not when you know that it's fucking 11pm and you should have had your dinner by now,” he responds.

“Assuming you've had anything today, I'd be able to bear it to an extent,” he further says.

My eyes are still hurting, but I know they'll stop in some minutes.

“But I've had chocolates today,” I defend, pointing a finger at the wraps of chocolate on the floor beside my knitting machine.

“Chocolates? C'mon, Naya, I'm not here for joke
